Attendance / Missed School…
Good attendance is a must for SUCCESS!
If you need to miss school, your parent or guardian must call school.
When the student returns, he/she must have a note and turn it into our attendance clerk in the office

In-School Intervention Classes After School Teacher Tutoring Ask an Administrator, Teacher,
Office Staff Member, Campus Safety Officer or our School Resource Officer (SRO)
Arriving to School…
In the morning, you may go to the lunch areas or the center of the 600 wing quad and wait for morning bell to ring
Breakfast / Lunch…
STUDENTS MUST eat in the designated lunch area:
IN THE CAFETERIA Once finished eating, students can
go to Patio 2 and Patio 3 – There will be NO FOOD allowed outside of the cafeteria!
According to the Education Code,
inappropriate behavior will result in one or more of the following…
Loss of school privileges (will not participate in school dances, after school clubs or school activities)
Detention – Lunch or ASWP/Fantastic Friday Suspension and/or Recommendation for
Expulsion
Electronic Devices…
Cell phones / IPOD /MP3 Players need to be off and out of sight. If used to call, text or look at the time - It will be confiscated.
Parent Pick-up only on Fridays after school
Leave Inappropriate Items at Home…

Game Machines Swiss Army KnifeIf your parents won’t allow you to have one at home, we
probably do not allow it at school!
At Alder We Have ZERO Tolerance for Bullying…
Many of you will be moving from a school along with most of your friends, but there will be lots of new faces, too. You will go from being one of the oldest kids at school to one of the youngest.
If you find yourself in a situation where other kids are using their size or status to bully you, tell a member of the school staff IMMEDIATELY.

Alder Physical Education…
1. Students must dress for PE DAILY. Alder PE clothes cost $20.00 or buy at Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, Swap Meet, etc…
2. Required uniform is grey shirt and black shorts.
3. Shoes must be athletic, properly fitted, tied.4. Uniforms cannot be loaned or borrowed from
other students. PE Teachers will have loaners.5. Jewelry not permitted in PE class.6. ALL students must bring their own
combination lock daily and know the combination
Binder Contents…
1. Good quality 3” – 3 Ring Binder with pocket inserts2.Five to six colored tab subject dividers to separate each academic class3.Zipper pouch to store supplies (3-hole punched heavy duty zip-lock bags also work)4. Two or more ball point pens (Blue or Black)5. Two or more pencils6. Two or more red ball point pens7. Filler paper 8. Assignment Calendar / Agenda Book (provided by school) 9. One or more Highlighters
