Governance structure - One Management Model– Yachting NSW has established a Regional Advisory Committee
-Changes to AS constitution-NSW Clubs are members of AS-Voting rights-Committee charter
– Yachting TAS has resolved to establish a Regional Advisory Committee

High Performance
• On track for Tokyo with 3 strong medal chances
• 4 classes qualified at so far: 470M, Nacra 17, 49erFX and Laser
• Olympic test event (2018): 1 x gold (Nacra 17), 2 x silver (470M, Laser)
• 2024 events (classes) announced:– 30% men, 30% Female, 40% Mixed – Introduction of Kiteboarding & Offshore– 470 M & W combined in to Mixed event– Single Handed classes (Laser, Radial) confirmed– Windsurfer equipment to be reviewed

Objective: Implement financial and/or non-financial charges for servicing non-core activitiesAction:
• Profit centered the fees for Recreational Skippers Tickets. Power boating represents 60%-70% of our members. 70% of RST’s are delivered by our 63 affiliated assessors.
• Reset the relationship with Ron Tough Yachting Foundation who will be supporting AS at Westsail but in 2020 but we will not be co-hosting an awards night. Freeing the office from the associated administrating processes
• Begun to streamline the processes for Swan River Racing and Offshore Calendars

Objective: Increase State Based FundingAction:
• Reset with Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) resulting in;
• Increased funding $140K to $180K for 3 years. (Additional $20K @ 20,000 members)
• Received Tier 2 event funding for $15K for the Moth Worlds. Two addition event grants submitted
• Received $9K for Officials and regional instructor training
• Re-established a relationship with Healthway resulting in $15k of funding for;• Westsail and Perth International Boat Show
• We will continue to seek out other resources such as VolunteeringWA and Sponsorship

Key ObjectivesObjective: Increase Programs, Education and Online Services outputAction:
• Identified that less than 1% of our Members are Officials. • Resetting the focus of the Racing Officials Committee from rules towards
recruitment.• Developed online resources on “How To”, Lay marks, Club Judging, Club
Scoring etc targeted at lowest level of officiating• Increase funding from DLGSC
• Identified Instructor training was scheduled on an adhoc basis and the number of Senior Instructors (SI’s) significantly below national averages
• Developed an 18 month rolling calendar of instructor courses• Bolstering SI numbers• Implemented an additional accredited Sea Safety and Survival Centre
• Increasing the volume of certified Officials and Instructors goes a long way towards administrating safe boating activities within member clubs.

Objective: Realign youth events and review WAIS fundingAction:
• Implemented two streams at Westsail, Performance and Participation with the goal to have 100 youths in attendance.• Retained Ron Tough Funding• Secured new sponsorship with Healthway• Hosted 2019 at RFBYC and 2020 at HYC
• Conducted a performance review with the DLGSC highlighting the programs is healthy. Reviewed the allocation of $49K ($20K of DLGSC and $29K of Member funds) as appropriate given the $522K overall budget.
• National Underpinning review ongoing. WA identified as best practice.

• Implemented a monthly newsletter with state specific operational content.
• Social media reset through training and planning. Operational page WA Staff and a Group page open for Members.
• Requested WAIS and the Western Australian State Squad branding and marketing to reflect the member contribution
• Will be marketing the RTO (RST’s) starting with boat licencing at the Boat Show under AS branding
• Opened the member quarterly meeting to individuals, class associations and clubs
• Developed a media pathway for the publishing of content to existing AS club, state and national news
