Secondly, the next factor that should be considered when choosing a gem is the gems durability. For example, diamonds are a 10 on the Moh’s Scale of Hardness, making them an excellent, classical choice for rings.

Lastly, the cut of your gemstone is most often a factor of subjective choice, as all of our gemstones are cut with experience and expertise. For a gemstone to reveal its true colour in a bespoke jewellery piece, the cut must attain the perfect level of depth; for if a gem is cut too low or too high, the colour will fade or become too dark to let in natural light. For our gemstones, all have been cut to show the best achievable saturation.

At Laurisha Jewellery, we pride ourselves on both our expertise and our incredible range of fine jewellery and gemstones. Featuring a wide array of colours, clarities, and cuts, all of our gemstones can be made into bespoke jewellery pieces to bring you a lifetime of shine and glamour.

From the intense reds of garnets to the luxurious purples of amethysts, our collection features nearly every colour and hue one can imagine. Fascinating in rings and captivating in pendants, our gemstones often take centre-stage due to the magnificent depth and richness of their colours.

When choosing a loose gem to be made into your very own bespoke piece, several things must be considered. Firstly, the correlation between the hue of your chosen gemstone and the type of metal setting you wish to use in your piece should be complimentary. Within a gemstone type, such as sapphire, there are many different hues to choose from; while many can range between the violet-blue velvets, sapphires can also come in pinks, greens and yellows!

THE CUSTOM DESIGNING PROCESS

Ishkhan’s design process has been honed over the many years of working in the jewellery world; personal, unique and customer-friendly, Ishkhan takes the complicated process of fine jewellery and delivers it in a way that’s easy to understand and contribute to.

From a personal consultation with our Master Jeweller, Ishkhan will then produce a set of 6-8 sketched designs to bring your ideas to life. After discussing which design best suites, and what ways the design might improve, Ishkhan then creates a personalised 3 dimensional rendered image of the design. After then rendering this image and discussing the design, Ishkhan will then send this to our 3D printing technology, of which will then produce a resin prototype of your design for evaluation.

After this process is complete and Ishkhan has received final approval, the true magic of Laurisha Jewellery’s craft can begin!

THE CUSTOM DESIGNING PROCESS EXAMPLE

To begin with this client brought to us a piece of costume jewellery that she loves the design of. Along with some old worn out pieces of gold jewellery and two diamonds.

We hand sketch the concept of the ring design she loves incorporating her own diamonds.

Next the hand sketch is drawn on CAD to produce an exact 3D render of the ring.

The 3D render is examined by us and the client, where final design changes are made.

This scenario is one of many different custom design journeys we can go on with you. Some clients come to us with their own design ideas, whilst some come to us and hand us the reins to come up with design concepts for them to consider. Some clients come to us with existing jewellery whether it be, inherited estate jewellery, or broken/worn out pieces from their own lifetime. Others come to us with nothing and we supply all new materials. It truly is a unique and individual process which each client and their jewellery. Laurisha’s jewellery designs use state of the art 3D technology to enable you to see, first-hand, what your imagined design will look like.

Using our CAD software platform, we produce a physical copy of your design that’s perfectly proportional, taking the final step in the design process for you to approve. Through this innovative 3D design process, we take pride in knowing that every jewellery piece we create is a personal reflection of your desires; as jewellery should be.

In using this detailed design process, you can feel safe in knowing that your design is completely understood, and your requests will soon reach reality with us at Laurisha Jewellery.

After this final approval is attained, the real magic can then begin; the jewellery craft!

MEET YOUR MAKER

Ishkhan Kojayan is your designer; your maker. Ishkhan has been working in the world of jewellery for the past 25 years and has been influenced by many diversified cultures. Having travelled throughout the Middle East and across the vast expanse of Europe, Ishkhan has been exposed to the many cultures and styles of the world. Each piece he creates is unique; an expression of strength, beauty and sophistication seen in women, men and cultures of these exotic places.

Crediting his love for creating metal masterpieces to his Armenian upbringing – where creativity and craftsmanship are cherished – Ishkhan was introduced to the industry by his father, and has spent much of his life travelling the world learning different techniques and honing the skills his father taught him.

Ishkhan started his own business from scratch in 2013 after nearly 20 years in the industry working under other larger companies. A number of years back Ishkhan moved with his young family to the Sunshine Coast from Margaret River, bringing with them the foundations of Laurisha Jewellery.

Initially operating a workshop from his shed in Western Australia, Ishkhan now is proud to have his fully functional workshop within his gallery and has grown from strength to strength. Ishkhan now produces all of his own jewellery on-site and prides himself on creating a high quality Australian made product. It is the freedom to express his own creativity and to custom design pieces for clients that drew him to launch Laurisha Jewellery.

Featuring a master bedroom, an ensuite, a fully functioning kitchen and a spacious lounge room, our Montrose unit is your home away from home. For all of our clients traveling to see us here in Montville, we now invite you to stay in our fantastic new accommodation!

Montrose unit, by definition, is the revival of romantic European styles coupled with Sunshine Coast’s magnificent hinterland. Situated in the heart of Montville, Montrose unit is not only an ideal staying destination, but boasts an incredible array of iconic hinterland views.

Made from distinct, hand-picked quarried stone, Montrose was built in 1990 to accompany the growing tourism industry within the picturesque town of Montville.

In addition to the French provincial design, the Montrose unit features large romantic cedar windows and hand-forged wrought iron. Replicating the natural styles of mountainous European villages, Montrose has paved the way in regards to the growing trend of Montville’s classically fashioned shops and restaurants.

Positioned in the center of Sunshine Coast’s most scenic hinterland town, the Montrose unit makes the perfect destination for tourist and client alike. Located near cafes and restaurants, Montville remains at your fingertips when staying in Laurisha Jewellery’s Montrose accommodation. Within walking distance of boutique coffee shops, bakeries and eateries, the Montrose unit is situated on the Western side of Montville’s main street, of which forms part of the incredible Blackall Range Tourist Drive along the escarpment from Maleny to Mapleton.

Accompanying the unit is The Russel Family Park, of which undergoes continual development. Including natural streams and picturesque walkways, The Russel Family Park is the perfect hinterland picnic area. Featuring public toilet facilities and ample car parking, the park can be accessed from the both the northern and southern ends of Montville’s Main Street.

THE SPACE

Today, Montville can be considered as one of the most inspiring hinterland towns in the region. Featuring iconic lookouts, breathtaking scenery and a well-kept, charming small-town atmosphere, its no secret as to why Montville has grown to be a popular wedding destination. Within walking distance of the Montrose Unit is the breathtaking Montville chapel, located on the edge of our valley. Constructed from Heldion sandstone featuring stunning red cedar doors, Montville has remained dear wedding venue for all that have visited us here in the Hinterland.

As such, Laurisha Jewellery is proud to offer our clients the opportunity to stay with us here as the blue gem of the hinterland.
