Thrive on busy schedule? Sufficient time to complete assignments for multiple honors classes? Effort, though admirable, is not a substitute for skill Extra help should not be used as private tutoring Honors/Advanced Placement courses do not include extra credit or do-overs Exit Criteria for Honors/AP Classes Any student in an Honors or AP class maintaining an average in the 70s mid-way through the first quarter will be notified that his/her standing in that course is in jeopardy. Parents/guardians will also be notified at this time of their childs status in class. Any student with a grade below 75 at the conclusion of the first quarter will exit the Honors or AP level and enter the Regents level program as the building schedule permits. All grades will be monitored throughout the school year for exiting purposes.
