Kindness and Information"NEVER DOUBT THAT A SMALL GROUP OF THOUGHTFUL, COMMITTED CITIZENS CAN

CHANGE THE WORLD. INDEED, IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT EVER HAS." MARGARET MEAD

Let's let the good people at Modesto City Schools get to know us, the Fremont Open Plan group

of families. We have something special that MCS should be proud to sponsor. Let us remind

them of what it is that makes FOP special, the people that make it up. In order to do this we

need to educate and inform them individually through letters, personal connections and

experiences. Does anyone out there have an idea to promote this? One way is to draw

attention to ourselves and make them feel good about being a part of the successful program

that is FOP. Alumni can do this through reflection upon the impact FOP has had on the

    development of their children.

    Could you write a letter?

If you choose, you could cc the letter to Nan Austin at the Modesto Bee, reporter for education

A handwritten letter, hand addressed with topics that may include the unique aspect of open

plan you especially appreciate, possibly the value it has brought to your child, and/or a focus

on the critical role experience plays in the Open Plan model to successfully implement the

philosophy. Perhaps the uniquely vulnerable situation we face due to the recent retirement of

the veteran teaching staff and the heroic efforts by the remaining staff to bring the new

    teachers on board.
