Ash Wednesday Services
On Ash Wednesday, March 6th, Trinity will offer a special half-hourservice at 8:00 a.m., in addition to our evening service, for those who wish to begin the season of Lent with the Word of God, prayer, and observing the ancient custom of the “Imposition of Ashes.” The ashes traced upon the forehead both recall the curse of death because of sin and mark the person with the sign of the cross as one redeemed by Christ the crucified, who defeated sin and death for us. Join us if you can for this traditional start to Lent
Mid-Week Lenten Services
We invite you to join us each Wednesday evening throughout Lent. Our Soup Suppers are served from 4:30- 6:00 p.m. in the Family Center and our
Lenten Services are held at 6:30 p.m. through April 10th.

Will the Snow Days Effect Our End-of-the-Year Schedule?
With the 4 school days we have had canceled this winter, you might be wondering if this will mean extra days added on to our schedule at the end ofthe school year. At this point, Trinity’s School Board has decided to keep last day of school as is which
means our school year will still end on May 31st. If more cancellations accumulate, the decision may be revisited.
No King’s Choir Tuesday, March 12th
The basketball clinic the K-4 students missed in February has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 12th after school. This means there will be no King’s Choir on the 12th. It will resume the following week on Tuesday, March 19th .

Kids Heart Challenge
Last Thursday, the students participated in our Kids Heart Challenge. Before our event, they raised over $1,500 for the American Heart Association! Great job! They spent the afternoon celebrating heart health by jump roping, doing an obstacle course, dancing, playing basketball, and enjoying a healthy snack.

After we surpassed our Kids Heart Challenge goal of raising money for the American Heart Association, Lincoln, our top earner, got to pick a teacher to slime. 16TH ANNUAL SILENT AUCTION
Pasta with a Purpose: Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction
February 12, 2019 Dear Parents: For our 16th Annual Silent Auction event will be on Sunday, March 17th with an all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser from 11:00am – 1:00pm. This is a very important fundraiser for our school which typically raises $6,000 - $10,000 each year. In the past, these funds were used to purchase special projects such as technology upgrades and new playground equipment. Last year we were able to purchase new smart boards for each classroom.
Spaghetti Dinner For the spaghetti dinner, we will be selling pre-sale tickets for $9/adult and $5/child (age 5-12). The price at the door will be $10/adult and $5/child. The CPL is asking for your participation to sell tickets to this event. Tickets will be sold Sunday mornings and available in the office, but we would also encourage students to sell tickets to family and friends. Each student was sent home with a pack of 5 tickets. For every 5 tickets sold, they will receive a special prize. All ticket stubs (sold and unsold) must be returned to school on Monday, March 11th.
Basket Contest We have also brought back the classroom basket contest. Each classroom has a theme but all donations are welcome. The donated items will be combined to make baskets for the silent auction. The contest ends Friday, February 28th and the classroom with the most items wins a pizza party! Classroom Themes: Kindergarten – Outdoor Fun (outdoor games, sand toys, BBQ supplies) 1st/2nd Grade – Family Night (movies, popcorn, card and board games) 3rd/4th Grade – Love for Learning (books, flashcards, school supplies) 5th/6th Grade – For the Home (DIY books, tools, cleaning supplies, décor) 7th/8th Grade – Chef’s Delight (cooking & baking supplies)
Volunteer & Earn Credit for Your Dinner Ticket A sign-up will be available on Sign-up Genius for volunteer opportunities including ticket sales, basket assembly, and event help. For every time slot you sign up for before or during the event (including any family members or friends), your family will receive a $5 credit towards the cost of your dinner ticket. So, if your dinner tickets would cost $30, you can earn free dinner for your family by volunteering for six time slots. The first available opportunity is Sunday, February 17th, so sign up soon. To receive this special discount, you must sign up by Monday, March 11th. Thank you for your participation to make this event a success. If you have any questions, please contact Chelsie Grochow at [email protected] or 763-331-1711. Sincerely, Christian Parent League
