Message from the Principal
Wiradjuri Lessons Mr Forbes is back this term contin-uing on with the Wiradjuri language program in all classrooms, even Kinder. Students are very engaged and enjoy these engaging lessons on a weekly basis.
BroSpeak and Girls Group Mr Shipp, Mr Fernando, Miss Clark and Miss Wright started these groups last Friday and students who attended enjoyed the opportunity to participate. The BroSpeak boys will be discussing core values that relate to everyday living, listening to guest speakers talk about career pathways and then completing tra-ditional wood burn designs on skateboards. The girls will be cele-brating Mother’s Day, discussing what it takes to gain employment in a specific field and then completing some projects. These groups are a great way for students to be sup-ported at school and to learn what it’s all about in the big wide world.
Woolworths Earn and Learn This promotional offer is on again this year and as in 2017 Dubbo North Public School will be partici-pating. The stickers can be placed in boxes at any of the 3 Woolworths stores in Dubbo (Delroy Park, Riverdale or Orana Mall) or they can be handed in to the front office. Stickers can either be placed onto the booklets or simply handed in as they are handed out at the stores. Towards the end of June the school will be able to cash these stickers in for resources which will ultimately benefit all the students at the school.

After School Care Program The After School Care Program has been running out of our hall since April 2016 and the 3 year lease has now expired. We are hoping to re-lease the hall and continue on with the program, but to do this I need to seek community input. Therefore, if anyone has any reasons why this program shouldn’t contin-ue, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Excursions and PSSA Sport Please be aware that participation in these activities is completely at the discretion of the school. I would love to offer all students the opportunity to participate in every aspect of school life, but if students display inappropriate or anti-social behav-iour which may place themselves, other students or members of staff at risk of harm then their eligibility to participate will be cancelled until another opportunity presents itself.
Have a great week.
