TODAY …

Welcome to all who are worshipping

with us … especially if you are visit-

ing Napier or at the Cathedral for

the first time … you are invited to

join us for morning tea (or coffee!)

served at the back of the cathedral

following the 10am service.

This morning, the Rev’d Graeme Pil-

grim is preaching/presiding at the

Tamatea Community Church.

CATHEDRAL HOSTS / GUIDES

We are currently in the peak tourist

season and have the pleasure of wel-

coming visitors from all around the

world. Thanks to our parishioners who

offer their time to act as hosts and

guides to the many tourists who pop

in ... if anyone is available to offer a

few hours, please contact the Office -

Alison would love to hear from you.

Our Visitors’ Book has been signed by

folk from all corners of the globe ...

including all states of Australia, Eng-

land, Scotland, Germany (Dresden, Nu-

renberg, Stuttgart), Canada, Ghana,

and this week, a visit from the Mayor

of the City of Helsinki, Finland.

On Friday, we heard the sad news of

the death of Brian Grouden this week

in Wellington.

Brian was the artist who created the

Cathedral’s sanctuary hanging cross

which is such a focal point in our Ca-

thedral, and an intriguing feature for

our visitors.

Brian will no doubt be remembered by

many parishioners - Margaret has fami-

ly contact details in the Office if any-

one wishes to make contact to offer

condolences.

May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

DEAN ON LEAVE

Dean Michael Godfrey will be away

from the Office on annual leave

from tomorrow, Monday 18th January

until Tuesday 2nd February.

TRINITY METHODIST PARISH

to our neighbours and colleagues at

140th anniversary!

Happy birthday - we hope you all have

a wonderful time catching up with old

friends, and meeting new friends - and

we look forward to continuing our

ecumenical partnership in the Napier

Inner City Churches Covenant.
