Welcome to South Main!
You’re invited to be a part of our family as we worship God, encourage one anoth-
er, and grow spiritually together.
When we meet together, we sing, pray, study the Bible, partake together in the
communion of the Lord's supper, and en-joy great family fellowship.
A fully staffed nursery is available. Ask an usher for assistance.
During AM services, we offer signing for those who are hearing impaired.

David’s Thoughts... Busy is the order of our day. It determines when we wake and when we hit the sack. It's responsible for what we eat (or even if we eat) and, often, with whom we eat. Busy is so ingrained in our daily culture, that it's become a standard greet, threatening to supplant the infamous American “How are you?” with the more action focused, “You staying busying?” We point to the good that we appear to be accomplishing and wear busy as a badge of honor. We fear the opposite of busy so much, that when we appear to be less busy, we busy ourselves with planning for more busy. Busy keeps us going, gives us things to do, occupies our hands and fills our brains. But a brain filled with the duties of the day, leaves little room for the thoughts of God. A body so busy that we rarely have time to breathe is robbed of the life-giving breath of God. Paul took Timothy in as a young man and trained him to be a man of God. Acting more like a father than Timothy's own dad, he no doubt spent countless hours with Timothy instructing and mentoring him, something we are privileged to get a glimpse of in the letters Paul sent Timothy from prison. His advice? Take time to breathe in God's Word. Consuming it is like breathing the breath of God. Use it for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. (Paul in 1 Tim 3:16) And, the good news it contains is the very power of God to transform our lives into something completely new. Last year, as a part of our Healthy Church survey, we all discovered that “spiritual disciplines” rank relatively low in our daily lives and many of us feel ill-equipped in practicing them, much less help others do the same. Let's begin by committing again to a renewed dialogue with God. Let's really try to take a break from busy and take in his Word, reading the Bible slowly - thoughtfully - everyday. And then return to Him in prayer at the end of our time. Let us re-order our day around the God-breathed (inspired) words of the creator, the one who has the power to speak life out of nothing, and make ourselves available to the moving of the Spirit.

Thank You Dear Church, Thank you so much for all of your coat and cash dona-tions to the "Warm Returns Coat Ministry" for the pris-on. So far, you have donated 38 coats. MTC was very appreciative of your generosity and I know the ladies are, too! Cash donations have not yet been spent, as I am waiting on a confirmation of how many are still needed at this time. There are several ladies who have expressed interest in helping in some way with this ministry. I am grateful for you and I will be contacting you soon. Also, I would like to recognize Natalie Bateman for her sweet heart and interest in helping and, also, her mother, Lisa Bateman, for her support. Natalie has already prepared some inspirational scripture notes to put in the coat pock-ets and will be accompanying me to purchase the next load of coats! Anyone is welcome to join us! While I am still working out the details of this ministry, I ask that you keep it and myself in your prayers so that God will be glorified in all that is done. I am thankful to be a part of this family!
Love in Christ, Stephanie
