Scope
This position sets up, operates and tends to grinding machines and related tools that produce fluted
endodontic files.
Key Responsibilities
• Studies shop orders, DHRs and work instructions to determine product specifications, tool
requirements, and operational sequences.
• Sets and adjusts machine controls according to product specifications, utilizing knowledge of
machine operation and gauging.
• Activates machine start-up switches to grind, lap, hone, debar, shear, or cut work pieces,
according to specifications.
• Observes machine operations to detect any problems; make necessary machine
adjustments to correct problems.
• Adjusts machine parameters using machine touch screen interface.
• Inspects or measures endodontics files to determine conformance to required
specifications, using measuring instruments such as gauges or comparators.
• Operates 6-8 CNC Machine Files New Beckhoff (MKNBs).
• Performs machine Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) at start-up.
• Selects machine tooling and changeover details to be used, utilizing knowledge of machine,
production requirements and process documentation.
• Mounts and positions grinding wheels and perform tooling changeovers using hand tools.
• Maintains housekeeping (5S and 6S).
• Other duties within competency as assigned.
Typical Background
Education:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Major Duties
Position Summary
The millwright apprentice will learn the required skills and tools to perform services for the
entire facility, including the maintenance and repair of utilities, equipment, buildings and
grounds.
40% The ability to read detailed drawings and specifications for building and industrial
equipment. Disassembles and assembles for repairs of all types of equipment and machinery,
using hand tools, tradesman's tools and welding equipment
25% Responsibilities include installation of plumbing for gas, water, steam and hydraulic lines.
20% Performs preventive maintenance on machines and equipment and also fills out required
forms and reports.
15% Operates machine and hand tools to grind, shape, fabricate, and alter equipment parts.
Welds, brazes and machines parts, metals, and equipment. Installs and relocates equipment as
required also performs other associated duties as directed by supervisor.
Secondary Functions
Emergency Responder, the responder will be asked to repair malfunctions to the coinage
chlorine system. This task will normally be initiated after the Primary Emergency Responders
have shut the system down and ensured that the chlorine levels negate the need for respiratory
protection. However, there may be those occasions where Secondary Emergency Responders
may be asked to fulfill Primary Responder Duties.
The employee will be responsible completing all emergency response tasks as directed by either
the Department Supervision or the Emergency Coordinator. These tasks include, but are not
limited to, assessing, stopping and repairing minor chlorine leaks. All secondary responder
actions to be taken will be within the scope of training received by the employee.
The employee will be successfully fit tested in the use of company supplied respiratory
protection equipment unless medically disqualified by the company physician. This equipment
will consist of air purifying respirators and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
Involvement with lean and quality team concepts.
Position Specifications
This position requires a High School diploma and 3 to 5 years experience in the industrial
maintenance areas of hydraulics, pneumatics, millwright principles, pipe fitting and blueprint
reading.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules/programs, schematics,
prints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports
and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages,
area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and use a systematic approach in troubleshooting
and solving problems

Secondary Functions
Emergency Responder, the responder will be asked to repair malfunctions to the coinage chlorine
system. This task will normally be initiated after the Primary Emergency Responders have shut the
system down and ensured that the chlorine levels negate the need for respiratory protection. However,
there may be those occasions where Secondary Emergency Responders may be asked to fulfill Primary
Responder Duties.
The employee will be responsible completing all emergency response tasks as directed by either the
Department Supervision or the Emergency Coordinator. These tasks include, but are not limited to,
assessing, stopping and repairing minor chlorine leaks. All secondary responder actions to be taken will
be within the scope of training received by the employee.
The employee will be successfully fit tested in the use of company supplied respiratory protection
equipment unless medically disqualified by the company physician. This equipment will consist of air
purifying respirators and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
Involvement with lean and quality team concepts.
Position Specifications
This position requires a High School diploma with Journeyman Electrician's card or three to five years
industrial electrician experience. Knowledge of Industrial power systems including medium voltage
equipment systems. Highly familiar with the structure and information described information from the
schematics. Expert knowledge of the National Electrical Code. Skilled in the use of various electrician
tools including the use of the multimeter, high voltage sensing equipment, ampmeter, and other related
equipment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules/programs, schematics,
prints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports
and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages,
area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and use a systematic approach in troubleshooting
and solving problems
