Summary
Micronic Technologies, located in Wise, VA, is a research and development company advancing a state
of the art water purification device.
Micronic is currently looking for an Analog Digital Design Engineer.
This position requires the ability to research, define, design, and prototype the various electrical control
functions in our water purification system.
Candidate will layout circuit boards, cable assemblies and control chassises for the system. Then
documentation including schematics, block diagrams, assembles drawings; parts lists, subassembly and
final checkout procedures, and troubleshooting guides will be required.
Applicant must interface with other engineers, technicians, researchers, assembly staff, vendors and
customers on a continuous basis. And be proficient in the use of standard tools and test equipment,
microcomputer programing and debug hardware and PC’s for electrical design, control and monitoring
functions along with normal office functions. A basic understanding of the physics and chemistry of
water and the ability to assemble and work with simple mechanical and plumbing assemblies are
desirable.
The system includes these types of electrical components:
• Digital sensors and GPIO with serial and other interface circuits
• Discrete logic, programmable logic arrays and microprocessor ICs
• Data communications and internet hardware
• High and low current and voltage drive circuits and loads
• Analog sensors, OpAmps, ADC’s, DAC’s, signal conditioners and filters
• Automatic and manual test and setup fixtures
Education
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and/or AAS of Electrical Engineering

Perform piping work and activities as directed by Piping Journeyman,
May load, transport, unload, and furnish journeyman with materials, tools, equipment, and
supplies.
Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials during installation.
May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of journeyman’s tools and equipment.
Perform other routine duties as directed by experienced craft person.
Follow specific directions from experienced Journeymen and site supervision
Complete variety of duties which may often change as project completion needs require;
Work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure
Requirements

1 – 2 years of completed classes in an accredited industrial mechanical or electrical program
2 – 3 years of experience on an industrial site performing craft work.
Preferred Experience

A completed degree program from an accredited Technical or Vocational school
A completed OSHA training course, including OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 designation
Some equivalent combination of the above requirements and experience.
