Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

We the Roseland Christian School Family would like to wish you and your family a blessed, safe and enjoyable holiday season filled with lots of laughter and love. We pray that your days spent with family, friends and loved ones are richly blessed. Tuition & AM/PM Care – Late Payment All tuition, AM/PM Care, and other charges are due on the first of each month (August thru May). Be- ginning in October 2011, accounts not paid-in-full will be assessed a $15 late charge on the 16th of each month. Lunch Order Forms Parents you should have received the lunch order form for January. Due to our Christmas vacation approaching soon, we would appreciate if you could please return the order forms tomorrow (Wed., Dec. 14) if you would like to order your child lunch for January. Student Council Bake Sale Student Council will host a bake sale tomorrow (Wednesday, December 14) during lunch. They would appreciate if you could please make plans to come and purchase some of your favorite desserts.

Condolences We the Roseland Christian School Family would like to express our love and concern to Joshua Shaw and his family in the loss of his father Darrell Shaw. We would also like to express our sympathy to Marla Conda on the loss of her brother Robert Conda.

Boys’ Basketball Assistant Coach Roseland Christian School is looking for a parent to assist Coach Freeman in coaching our winning boys’ basketball team; we would appreciate if any parent who is available and interested in this position please contact the office. Practice is Monday, Thursday, and Friday 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm.

Reminder: This is a volunteer position with a great and rewarding experience. Cub Scouts!! Cub Scouts!! Cub Scouts!! RCS is looking for men who are interested in volu-teering to work with our newly formed Cub Scout Troop. Meetings are currently held during our after-school program every Thursday from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. If you are available and are willing to devote the time to work with our 1st thru 5th grade boys, please contact the school office at 773-264-2174 for more information. Cub Scout Meetings Please be advised that we are not having Cub Scout meeting Thursday, December 15th. Parents will be notified with the updated schedule of meetings beginning January 2012.

RCS Christmas Program The RCS Christmas Program will be on Friday, Dec.16, 2011 at 10:00 am. Mark your calendars and make plans to attend this very special celebration. Reminder: CPTA would like volunteers to help sort and distribute cheesecakes, time will be announced. Cheesecake Credit Parents & students who sold cheesecakes will have their credit applied to their tuition in January. Free Movie Night If you are looking for a fun and exciting way to kick off your Christmas vacation with your classmates than come and watch a movie with student council Friday, Dec. 16 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. They will also have the concession stand open so you can purchase some of your favorite snacks during that time. Z.A.P. Period Our junior high schedule has added a ZAP period. ZAP stands for Zeros Aren’t Permitted – students who have failed to turn in homework on time may have to go to ZAP to get caught up. In order to remediate a student’s homework, this time serves that function. If you need to ask me more about that, please call me at school or stop in at school.
