Be- ginning in October 2011, accounts not paid-in-full will be assessed a $15 late charge on the 16th of each month. Progress Reports Parents your child’s progress reports for the 2nd marking period went home today. Please check your child’s book bag for their progress report. RCS Shoebox Ministry You should have received a letter last week explain- ing our plan to bless needy children in our commu- nities - The RCS Shoebox Ministry. Don’t forget to send in your empty shoe boxes, gloves, and hat for our gift boxes by Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011. For more information call the Advancement Office at 773-264-2174. Picture Day Retakes Students in grades 1st – 7th who need to retake their picture can do so Thurs., December 8 @ 9:00 a.m. Lunch Order Forms Parents January lunch order forms went home last week. Due to our Christmas vacation approaching soon, we would appreciate if you could please return the order forms as soon as possible to ensure the January lunch order is placed by Tuesday, Dec.13. CPTA Concession Stand Friday, December 16 will be the last time CPTA will open the concession stand for 2011 (from 11 am until). Make plans to bring money next Friday so you can purchase snacks that day. Parents, who are interesting in volunteering, please contact the office or Ms. Sain. Market Day Thanks for your Market Day orders this month. We hope it will be a tasty addition to your holiday plans. Pick-up is tomorrow, Wed., Dec. 7 between 3:30 pm & 5:30 pm. Please send the payment with your child if you are unable to make it before 5:30 pm. Mery Christmas & Happy Blessed New Year. See you in January. RCS Christmas Program The RCS Christmas Program will be on Friday, Dec.16, 2011 at 10:00 am. Mark your calendars and make plans to attend this very special celebration. All families and friends are invited to attend. CPTA Cheesecake Fundraiser Thanks to everyone who supported our cheesecake fundraiser. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Friday, December 16 Cheesecake Pick-up Reminder: CPTA would like volunteers to help sort and distribute cheesecakes, time will be announced. Christmas Vacation – Change The last day of school before Christmas Vacation is December 16 – a Friday. We will return back to school on January 3 - a Tuesday. Please remember to make a note of that – We truly appreciate your understanding and patience with the changes that were made.☺ Z.A.P. Period Our junior high schedule has added a ZAP period. ZAP stands for Zeros Aren’t Permitted – students who have failed to turn in homework on time may have to go to ZAP to get caught up. In order to remediate a student’s homework , this time serves that function. If you need to ask me more about that, please call me at school or stop in at school.

Boys’ Basketball Schedule

Boys’ Basketball Assistant Coach Roseland Christian School is looking for a parent to assist Coach Freeman in coaching our winning boys’ basketball team; we would appreciate if any parent who is available and interested in this position please contact the office. Practice is Monday, Thursday, and Friday 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm.
Reminder: This is a volunteer position with a great and rewarding experience. Cub Scouts!! Cub Scouts!! Cub Scouts!! RCS is looking for men who are interested in volu-teering to work with our newly formed Cub Scout Troop. Meetings are currently held during our after-school program every Thursday from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. If you are available and are willing to devote the time to work with our 1st thru 5th grade boys, please contact the school office at 773-264-2174 for more information. Cub Scout Meetings Please be advised that we are not having Cub Scout meetings on Thursday, December 10th and Thurs. December 17th. Parents will be notified with the updated schedule of meetings beginning Jan. 2012.
