Be- ginning in October 2011, accounts not paid-in-full will be assessed a $15 late charge on the 16th of each month. CCI Applications In the past, there have been issues with the CCI office claiming they did not receive someone’s CCI forms. Starting immediately, please turn your CCI paperwork in to the RCS office. RCS staff will take responsibility for bringing all CCI application forms to the CCI office each week to insure that we get a receipt for the paperwork. Scholastic Book Fair The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to RCS. This year’s theme is “Reading is a Blast!” Students can purchase books, ranging from $1.00 to $10.00. If your student(s) would like to purchase books, please send them to school with their money in an eve- lope. Book Fair dates are Oct. 3rd – Oct. 7th. Snack Stand Roseland Christian School will have their first home volleyball game on October 6th against SW Tinley Park School. We are asking everyone to come out and support the team. The snack stand is officially up and running for home games. Donations of water, Gatorade and snack items would be greatly appreciated. Please see or contact CPTA President, Ms. Howard to see how you can help. We would like to extend a special thank you to the volleyball coach, Mrs. Meeks for giving her time, effort and expertise to the girls on the team. We would also like to thank Ms. Kwafo for her assistance with the girls on the volleyball team. Market Day Get Ready! Get Set for Market Day You can place your orders by filling out the market day form and sending it to school along with a check or money order for your purchase. You can also place your order online @ marketday.com. It’s as easy as 1 -2-3! 1. Register: Select a school and create a username/password. 2. Search: Find products and add to your cart. 3. Checkout: Submit your order. This month market day orders are due at RCS by Wednesday - 10/5 and internet orders by 11 pm CST Saturday - 10/8. Scouting WANT TO BE A PART OF SOMETHING GREAT? Check out SCOUTING! The Boy Scout Meeting has been rescheduled and will be held tomorrow; October 5th from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Parents can meet the Boy Scout Recruiter in the lower cafeteria. Free Style Friday Any student interested in participating in Free Style Friday, October 14 must give their teacher a dollar no later than Thursday, October 13. If you do not bring a dollar, you must wear your uniform. American Red Cross The American Red Cross will be conducting a Fire Safety Fair at RCS on Saturday, October 15 from 11am - 1pm. All RCS families that live in Roseland (60628) may apply for Team Firestopper. Contact the office for an application form. Only the first 35 applicants will receive the free smoke detector, fire extinguisher and other materials. Grandparent’s Day If you completed your post card invitations for Grandparent’s Day and want the school to mail them, please return them as soon as possible.

RCS Parenting Group Did you know that PSP is not just an electronic game for kids? PSP also stands for Parents Supporting Parents which is the name of a new parent group we are forming here at Roseland Christian School. This group will help us to pro-vide a resource that addresses the everyday con-cerns of our parents including wellness and healthy living, ways to raise a happy child, and financial planning just to name a few. If you are a RCS parent and are inte-rested in being a part of our planning committee, please call the school office at 773-264-2174.
