Week of the Young Child Music Monday! Get moving activities! Put on a talent show Strut your stuff and show your family your talents! Build a stage, create a sign, even make tickets! You can use blankets/sheets, recycled materials like cardboard, plastic jugs, paper towel tubes, etc. Play an instrument, sing, or dance to music! Maybe your siblings, other family members, or your stuffed animals would like to show off their moves, too! Take turns and even take pictures or video record it! Support one another and cheer your loudest for all! DIY microphone craft: https://www.lovebugsandpostcards.co m/sing-movie-night-party-ideas/ Musical Painting Painting with music can be so much fun and can be done in different way! We have attached several songs for you to use while you are painting, but you can also play your own music! Materials: Paper (any color or size) Paint: if you do not have paint you can mix flour, water, and food coloring to make your own! Start with a cup of flour and gradually add water until it is easy enough to paint with! Paint Brushes: if you do not have paint brushes you can use Q-tips or cotton balls. Painting to Music! Listen to the music. When the music plays fast, paint fast when the music plays slow, paint slow! You can also paint the way the music makes you feel, happy, sad, silly, excited! Music can make us feel all different kinds of ways! Music Painting Freeze! Get your paper and paint ready! Play the music when the music stops “freeze” your paint brush! Then move your paint brush to another spot on the paper, start the music again and paint! Repeat the “freeze” as many times as you want or until your paper is filled up!
