Remote Learning Tips
1. Limit distractions. 2. Dedicate an area for
learning. 3. Maintain breaks such
as snack time or an exercise break.
4. Mix computer time with paper pencil activities.
5. Communicate with other parents. (You’re not in this alone).
6. Create a daily schedule. 7. Don’t let your child view
this as a vacation. 8. Schedule time for fun
activities. Learning won’t stop unless you allow it to.

Dear Eagle Family,
Thank you for taking an active role in your child’s education. I know that this is a stressful and unpredictable time and many of our families are trying to juggle being both a parent and a teacher. I also know that many of you are wondering what school will look like in the future and when can we return to “regular school”. Well as of now, we don’t have a date of when your child will be able to be in the classroom with their teacher but what we are able to do is provide remote learning via Google Classroom and Google Meets. These platforms allow your child’s teacher to post assignments and host virtual classroom meetings. This also allows your child to continue learning while they are at home. As your child continues to learn, you can help your child by creating and maintaining a daily routine and staying positive when discussing education. If you have not received a Chromebook for your child, please contact the school @ 773-535-3550.
Sincerely,
Principal C. King Jr.

COVID-19 Health Tips for Parents To help stop the spread of COVID-19, please do the following:
• Clean hands often using soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
• Avoid people who are sick (as much as possible).
• Clean and disinfect surfaces daily in areas that are used often (tables, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, game controllers, toilets and sinks).
• Be a good role model – if you wash your hands often, your children are more likely to do the same.
Watch for signs of stress in your child:
• Watch for excessive worrying or sadness, unhealthy eating and sleeping patterns.
• Although you may not have all of the answers, take the time to talk with your child or teen about the COVID 19 outbreak. For support, please see
the share facts link for more information.
These tips will help keep your child healthy.

Hello Eagle Family, During these trying times, we have continued to commit ourselves to the students of Ashe. I sincerely thank each of our families for your patience as we navigate the unchartered waters of remote learning. Be mindful that teachers hold Google Meetings daily. Students must remain connected to ensure that they remain on track. Chromebooks have been distributed daily for students to engage in daily lessons. If you have trouble connecting your device, please contact the main office. We miss our students and want to continue supporting our Eagle family. Ashe is still available, so if you need
to speak with school personnel please contact the
main office at 773.535.3550 on Tuesdays and

Christina Bradley, Assistant Principal
