Week beginning Monday 13th July 2020

This should have been our last week in Year Two so I have collated a selection of tasks

you may wish to do including some summer themed maths and English. We would normally

be having lots of fun and generally enjoying being together as friends before we finish for

the summer holiday. Have fun and get ready for Year Three. As always none of the tasks

I have set are compulsory, it is up to you to decide which you think your child would enjoy

and what fits in with busy schedules and family life. If you require any advice or support

regarding these issues, please do message us.

I have also uploaded a document which gives you information about what your child will

learn in Year Three that you may find useful.

There will be no weekly fun task on Class Dojo this week as I hope you will make time for

some fun every day. Let me know what you are up to, we love to hear from our amazing

class. We are always here for you if you need us during this time.

Activity 1: Spreading my wings from Year 2 to Year 3 booklet. I will upload this booklet to Class

Dojo and the school website.

Alternatively, you may wish to write a letter to Miss Dabell introducing yourself.

Activity 2: Get comfy and enjoy a film afternoon. Remember snacks are compulsory and let me

know what film you chose!

Activity 3: Have your own awards assembly at home. Gather your family together and present

them with awards for being amazing home schoolteachers. Remember to think of a reason for

each award you give. Either make you own or use the certificates I have uploaded.

Activity 5: Play a board or card game with your family.

Activity 6: Tidy your bedroom, organise your toys and see what you can do to be helpful around

the house to get prepared for the summer holiday.

Activity 7: With an adult bake something delicious or refresh your food technology skills

helping to prepare fruit and vegetables for a meal.

Activity 10: Mrs Shuttleworth has created a 2Do on Purple Mash to design a medal for someone

who has helped you during lockdown.

Activity 11: Gather the family together for a quiz. If you have enough people divide them into

teams. Remember each team needs a topical name. Use some of the questions below for

different rounds or set some of your own. Prepare a prize for the winner.
