quiet spot to sit in and draw what you can see.• Life Cycle – Research the life cycle of one of the plants. You could even try to

grow this plant yourself.• Lost Word Scavenger Hunt – How many of the lost words can you find in their

natural habitats? There are loads of great natural environments for you to explore in Swindon, e.g. Lawn Woods, Queen’s Park, Coate Water, Town Gardens, Lydiard Park…

• Fact File – Choose one the lost words and create a fact file all about them. You could present this as a PowerPoint, poster, leaflet…

*Plants come in many different shapes and sizes.

Go on a hunt for leaves, twigs and flowers.

Using clay or salt dough, roll it out flat and press the different natural objects to make an impression.

When it’s dry, you could paint the different flowers, leaves and twigs or you could paint the surrounding area and leave the impressions without colour.

You can make your own salt dough at home using just flour, salt and water. Click on the link to see how:
