Some of Galileo’s theories angered some religious authorities as his

discoveries conflicted with their views, but different faiths and

cultures developed myths which try to explain certain aspects of the

world and the universe.

If you are awake when it gets

dark one night, maybe at the

weekend, you might be able to

spot some of the constellations.

Now create your own constellation and a myth to explain how the

constellation came to be in the sky.

Use what you have learned from the other constellation myths to

give you some ideas.

Explain how the hero/heroine got put up into the sky and think

of a moral for the myth (a lesson to be learned or a message

for people to remember.)

You could set it out using a storyboard if you wish:
