Creative Writing Club:Tairua School is committed to providing children withextension and remedial programmes and experiences
to ensure high quality learning occurs. This year Emma
Darragh-Heath will be providing a creative writing
programme for selected students. This is a trial pro-
gramme and providing success is being achieved we
will look to extend and further develop this idea. The
club runs every second Thursday from 9:00-10:00 at
the town Library. The following children need to meet
at the Library at approximately 8:50am. Ahi, Flynn, Ivy,
Conor, Paris, Tia, Tara and Gregory . Transportation will
be provided back to school. If you have any issues or
concerns regarding this programme please feel free
to call me at school.
Surf Academy:This Wednesday we will be heading off to Pauanui forsurf academy. We have a mid, in coming tide, 1.0mswell with south easterly winds. The conditions atTairua are somewhat sketchy making it very tricky tomonitor and predict. We will leave school at approxi-mately 3:15 and arrive back at school no later than5:00pm. As always we do require a 1:3 ratio in the wa-ter and observers on the beach. The following chil-dren have brought back their forms. Cameron, Sollie,Jessica, Georgia, Jade, Ella CM, Bronte, Zac, Jenna,Pippa, Flynn, Layka, Ahi, Samuel, Vita, Rhea, Denzel,Cade, Tara, Denise, Rebecca, Jack, Ivy, Jaxon, Greg-ory, Conor, Tia, Billy.Transportation organisation will be sorted on the day.

Bikewise Month:There is a bikewise display and competition in theTCDC libraries throughout February. Enter the compe-tition at the library and go in the draw to win a fantas-tic biking prize pack.
