Beach and Aquatics• Aqua Trampoline and Activity Island - Cool off by leaping into the lake from a

25 foot floating trampoline, or buy wooshing! into the lake.• Swimming - Cool off or practice your skills at the beach.• Sailing - Race the wind in a fleet of Sunfish sailboats.• Mile Swim - Can you go the distance to be a mile swimmer?• Tandem Kayaking - A totally new way to explore the bays.• Rowing - Take one out to fish or practice your merit badge skills.• Fishing - From the dock or pontoon boat, you're sure to find a spot where

the fish are biting. • Water Polo - Challenge your neighboring patrol to a friendly game of water

polo.• Greased Watermelon - Water Polo gets a whole lot slipperier when the ball is

a melon covered in shortening.• Snorkeling - Check out the underwater world with mask, fins and snorkel. • Canoeing - Choose from over a hundred canoes to explore our two lakes.• Canoe Snorkel - Take an aquatic trek to a spot for the best snorkeling.• Polar Bear - Prove your strength by braving this early morning dip into the

lake.• Troop Sauna - Fire up the sauna and relax - then jump in the lake & repeat!

Nature• Nature Center - Each camp has a Nature Center with interactive resource

stations on astronomy, tracks and scats, forestry, advancement and more. • Night Skies - Staff will help you make the mysteries and legends of the stars

and planets come alive. • Owl Pellets - Act like a detective as you dig deep inside an owl's pellet to

find and reconstruct the skeletons of the owl's daily prey.• Loon Lore - Find out about the unique characteristics of our camp mascot

and the Minnesota State Bird. You may just walk away an expert in loon communication.

• Going Green Scout Style - See & discuss effects of pollution on a sand village that you construct

• Stem NOVA- Participate in an activity that shows how every part of our world is connected.

• Nature Canoe - Master your canoeing skills while exploring typically unseen parts of the lake.

• Beaver Tales - Explore the life, eating habits and homes of the largest rodent on earth.

Climbing• Troop Climb - Learn how to belay your fellow Scouts before

summiting the wall.• Open Climb - Choose any route you want to tackle and expect

to feel the thrill of rappelling down once you reach the top.• Slant Challenge - You'll need to keep tight to the tower as you

climb this angled wall.• Box Challenge - Ready for even more challenge? It will take

some extra upper body strength to navigate a ceiling climb.• Bouldering - Practice your moves while you conquer the whole

new challenge of climbing horizontally.• Rappelling - Step over the edge and bounce down the wall to

the ground.

Outdoor Skills• Knots & Lashing - Learn the essential skills to build a cool and useful camp

gadget for your next rank advancement. • Lost & Found - Master your map and compass skills and then find out the

secret of our 100ft course.• Totin' Chip - Do you know the skills to safely use and maintain knives, axes

and saws?• Survivor Man - Put yourself to the test. Could you survive days in the

wilderness with only the objects on you? • Leave No Trace - Be a step ahead in life, learn how to leave a minimal

impact on your campground. What's Cooking? - Taste some great new recipes you'll use on your next outing.

• Geocaching - Try and find our hidden geocaches using our GPS.• Firem'n Chit & Fire Building - Show off your skills to make the best fire

possible. • Mountain Boarding - Grind through the Many Point trails in style.

Handicraft• Woodcarving - Create your own masterpiece out of a block of

wood.• Leatherwork - We have all tools and punches that you need to

make a useful project.• Tie Dye - Impress your friends with a wearable piece of art

that you design and create.• Troop Project - As a troop, you'll choose to make a Turk's head,

monkey's fist or a hemp craft to bring home. • Basketry - Build a basket from the reeds up.• Pottery - Make your own creations made from the earth itself.• Fingerprinting - Learn about all the ways our fingerprints can be used.

Shooting Sports• Archery - Use a compound bow to ensure your arrow hits its

mark.• Throwing Tomahawks - With a little practice, you'll be an expert

in no time.• Sling Shots - You'll definitely hear when you hit your target on

this one.• Troop Rifle Shoot - Train your eyes so you will hit the target each

time.• Open Rifle Shoot - With practice, you'll qualify for an NRA

Marksmanship Award.• Troop Shotgun Shoot - Learn the fundamentals before blasting

the target.• Open Shotgun Shoot - Clay Pigeons won't stand a chance against you.

Parents• Parents are encouraged to attend camp with their scout • They may participate in virtually every activity with their scout• Parents sleep in their own tent at camp. They may share with

another adult, but do not tent with their scout• Bring your own tent or use a troop tent• You may go for the whole week or part of a week• Main lodge has a work station with wi-fi, and work desks for

those parents who need to check in at work during the week

Costs• Full week at MP is $300 per scout and $75 for adults• Partial week, either Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat is $150 for scouts

and $45 for adults• Scout account dollars can be used and scholarships are

available• Includes all meals, and base activities.• Some MB’s do have a small materials fee• Some extra activities may also have an extra fee• Transportation is through the Troop carpool or on your own• Troop gear is used for all campers, but scouts will need to

bring their own personal gear, including a sleeping bag and mat
