Learn about the history, types of grants, eligibility, factors in selection, competition timeline, application process and award benefits. The Secret to Your Success - Getting Involved in Undergraduate Research and ScholarshipThis session is designed for students 9:30 – 10:20 a.m., Rm. 201BThe director for the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (CURS) will give a presentation on how to find a faculty mentor, share information on the financial and logistical resources that CURS provides for undergraduate research projects and the do’s and don’ts of working with a faculty mentor.

Experiential Education: Faculty Involvement and SupportThis session is designed for faculty 10:30 – 11:20 a.m., Rm. 208Representatives from the University will highlight key information that faculty should know about high impact experiential learning practices such as: community-based learning courses, community-based research, undergraduate research and scholarship, internships, co-ops, practicums and education abroad. Note: This session is offered again from 2:30-3:20 pm. Public Policy Projects This session is designed for faculty and students 10:30 – 11:20 a.m., Rm. 201AIn this session, participants will gain a better understanding of how to design and implement a public policy project, a credit-bearing experience which engages undergraduate students in an applied community-based setting.
