Welcome to the University of West LondonStreetwise Arts Careers Fair 2012

Students and graduatesStreetwise is an arts career fair that aims to bring together our students and graduates with employers from the creative sector in West London and beyond.

Streetwise plays an important part in meeting our goal to be one of the leading employer engaged universities in the country with a focus on an education that works.

City Showcase

Nature of the business: Supporting emerging talent and showcase events

City Showcase is a not-for-profi t year-round platform for new creatives responsible for breaking some of the best names in music into the industry since 2003. Our mission is to support, showcase and nurture new talent by identifying and developing them through a unique combination of showcasing opportunities, industry networking sessions and masterclasses in the UK and beyond – all free from commercial sector constraints.

Stage Miracles

The Prince’s Trust

Nature of the business: Youth charity

The Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme supports unemployed young people aged 18-30 to work out if their business ideas are viable and whether self-employment is right for them. To take part in the programme, young people need to be interested in self-employment. They also need a business idea that they would like help to test and explore. If through this process they fi nd out the idea is viable, the programme can offer mentoring support and, for those that really need it, fi nancial support to start their business. However, if self-employment turns out not to be the right option, the programme can support young people to secure other outcomes in employment, education, training or voluntary work.

The Careers and Employment Service team can assist you throughout your time at university and after you have graduated. The team provides impartial and confi dential advice and guidance about the many options available to you, including work, placements, postgraduate studies and further training. The Employment Service helps current students to fi nd part-time and vacation work and graduates to fi nd full-time employment when they leave. Graduates can use the Careers and Employment Service three years after graduation.
