Tentative Bookings May be held for 14 days however at times this will not be possible.
Payment Schedule A deposit of 40% of total spend is due within 14 days of the booking.
A second payment of 40% of total spend is due 3 months prior the function. The balance is required, along with final numbers 21 days prior to the function.
Cancellations All cancellations must be notified in writing. If a cancellation occurs, the following terms will apply. If the date is not rebooked for another function, then the total deposit will be forfeited.
Public Holidays An increased charge of 10% will apply for functions booked on public holidays.
Security Lorne Hotel may determine an event requires security to ensure safety of patrons. Minimum charge is 5 hours at $55 per hour per security guard.
Final Numbers We require final numbers 21 days prior to function. Late notice of increases in numbers will be accommodated where possible, but not guaranteed.
Allergy Statement Lorne Hotel recommends requesting food allergy & dietary requirements be advised by RSVP on invitations sent. Management cannot 100% guarantee that there aren’t traces of allergy items in the food.
Menu / Beverage Selection Must be confirmed 21 days prior to function.
Menu Change Description and prices of menu items and wines are indicative only and will change seasonally or due to availability. Function prices may vary marginally if an event is booked for a date 12 months after the initial deposit payment.
Responsibility The organiser of the events is financially responsible for any damages or breakages sustained to the Hotel. The Lorne Hotel accepts no responsibility for any items lost or damaged prior to, during or after the event.
Cleaning General cleaning is included in the cost of the event. Charges will be incurred for any additional cleaning required. e.g. confetti, damage to carpet and walls, etc. No confetti or rose petals.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Decorations Decorations in the form of balloons, candles & posters are available by arrangement. Confetti and metallic scatters are not permitted in the Lorne Hotel premises - a cleaning fee will be charged if this request is ignored. No displays or signage are to be nailed, screwed or adhered to any part of the building.
Cakes Celebratory cakes may be brought into the hotel and cutting/serving of your cake may be included in the package. (see package details)
Removal Of Food No food is to be removed from the premises following an event. Celebratory cake and candy bags are the only exception to this rule.
Behavior & Noise Lorne Hotel has a code of conduct that requires all patrons to behave respectfully. The Hotel will control the sound levels during an event according to license requirements.
Disabled Access The Lorne Hotel has lift facilities for any persons unable to walk up 2 flights of stairs. Please advise your wedding manager on this prior to the event.
Smoking In line with anti-smoking legislation, smoking is not permitted anywhere indoors at The Lorne Hotel. Smoking will be permitted in a designated area.
Compliance Lorne Hotel will uphold their licensing requirements. This means that a person may be refused service or may be removed from the event regardless of their association with the event. We reserve the right to cancel an event should the event or guest be deemed unsafe or unruly.
Minors Persons under the age of 18 years will be permitted on the premises with a responsible adult or guardian. Under no circumstances will the minor be permitted to consume alcohol.
Additional Supplier Meals Meals for entertainers, photographers and videographers are available upon request @ $45 per head. Alternatively the bistro in the hotel will be open for a la Carte dinning.
Entertainment/Music We have an in house PA system for playing an IPod or CD’s. Please advise us prior to the day of your audio requirements. We also have a list of DJ’s & bands available upon request and at your own expense.
Extending Hours Extension of the hours originally booked must be by mutual agreement with the event management and cannot breach license conditions. This time will be charged at an additional cost per hour.
