Your romantic wedding venue … with the most delicious food

Jeremy’s Restaurant is one of the loveliest garden wedding venues in Sussex, with an accent on great

modern food, and the friendliest service. The Times chose us as one of their top ten most romantic

restaurants in the UK.

Jeremy’s is a sunlit space in contemporary colours, full of flowers and modern art. The restaurant overlooks

a terrace and Victorian walled garden with a vine and wisteria-covered walkway - the perfect backdrop for

wedding photos. Flowers and herbs intermingle in the borders and might find their way onto your plate.

The wedding marquee leads off the bar, and can be available all year, open-sided on warm days, overlooking

the orchard. Have drinks on the lawn. The baby ducklings by the fountain might give you ideas…

You can book exclusive use of Jeremy’s for the whole day, formal or relaxed, and even have your wedding

ceremony here. Or you can hold a smaller, more intimate reception, in the evening, or at lunchtime.

Your wedding ceremony

Come after the church, or hold your wedding ceremony here at Jeremy’s, where the restaurant becomes an

elegant marriage room for your wedding day. We’ll do flowers to match your colour theme. Our licence

allows up to 55 seated guests – of course more can come later for the reception. Walk in to your own music,

or discuss live music with Joanne, perhaps a harpist, jazz duo or string quartet, she has contacts for all

tastes.



Planning your wedding

Joanne has many years of experience as a wedding organiser, yet every wedding at Jeremy’s is still

fabulously different. She works with a highly experienced team, and we promise that everyone here at

Jeremy’s will care as much as you do about every detail.

From your first contact, viewing, discussions and booking through the months of preparation, Joanne will

be there every step of the way. She has a contact book with fine florists, musicians, entertainers and all the

other elements to create the perfect wedding.

Weddings Wednesday or Thursday are other options that may suit your budget. At any time of year, ask

Joanne about our set wedding offers.

Your wedding reception

Laid back or formal, seated or mingling, for 12 or 120… Whatever, we’ll work personally with you so that

your wedding food, wine and all the other little details fulfil your dreams!

Meet and mix during drinks on the terrace or on the lawns. Then carry on in cocktail style, or move to table.

Seated, you can invite up to 55 guests in the restaurant, or up to 120 in the marquee. The marquee can be

available at any time of year, heated of course in winter, flowing seamlessly into the garden on the sunniest

days. Treat your guests to three courses, or a seven-course tasting menu, or anything in between, perhaps

incorporating a barbecue for a summer wedding.

For a drinks reception with canapés, you can invite more guests, 70 in the restaurant and up to 200 in the

marquee. There can be dancing at night in the restaurant, and an evening buffet.

Getting here is easy

Jeremy’s is part of a country estate, yet it’s so easy for your guests to get here. By train on the London to

Brighton line, Jeremy’s is a few minutes’ taxi ride from Haywards Heath station. For drivers, we’re four

miles off the A23. And there’s loads of parking.

Wedding menus and wines … the importance of being Jeremy’s

On ‘normal’ days, we’re a much-loved restaurant, reputed throughout Sussex and beyond. Our cooking is

modern and creative, based on the freshest of local and seasonal ingredients, often plucked from our

garden. Naturally we cater sympathetically for vegetarians and vegans, as well as all kinds of dietary needs

and children’s preferences.

On wedding menus we are totally open to discussion. Think of the ones here simply as examples. You can

choose and adapt, dipping for inspiration into Jeremy’s ever-changing restaurant menus, from the daily

table d’hôte to à la carte and tasting menus - or we can work up a bespoke new menu together. Barbecues

and buffets can be the main reception meal, or an extra for night-time hungry folk and evening-only guests.



With a couple of hundred wines on our list from all over the world, and loads of sparkling wines and

Champagnes, you have plenty of choice. Joanne or our wine consultant, Kathryn, can help you choose your

wines, match wines to your dishes, and to your guests’ tastes, or can suggest a ‘wine flight’ to accompany a

tasting menu. We have Harvey’s bitter on draft, and a well-stocked bar.

Minimum food and drink spend for exclusive use

A 12.5% service charge will be added to your reception invoice.

Non-exclusive use for a small lunchtime wedding

Jeremy’s can be yours exclusively between 11am and 1.30pm. Other restaurant guests will arrive

later, as your wedding lunch continues. (The restaurant seats 55)

Civil ceremonies

The civil ceremony room hire charge of £550 includes two flower arrangements (but not the

registrar’s fee).
