THEME AND STYLE OF YOUR WEDDING: What are the surroundings like (both for the wedding itself and the reception)? Is attire formal or informal ? Classic or Modern ? What will the bridal gown look like? What mood are you trying to create? These are vital clues, which will help the florist design an appropriate style for you. HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO SPEND? Obviously, you can’t be expected to have a precise budget ready prepared But a realistic ballpark figure will help your florist to suggest appropriate types, styles and quantities for flowers. THE COLOUR SCHEME: Are there any colours which ought to be included or avoided? What colour are the bridesmaids dresses - or the grooms waistcoat? Or the table-cloths at the reception? Swatches of materials are ideal - failing that, a photograph or even a colour match from a DIY store will help. SHAPES AND SIZES: What age are the bridesmaids? How tall are they are there any other attendants to think about ( perhaps a page-boy or a matron of honour )? WEDDING VENUE: How large is it? What is the lighting like ? The Design Element based in Irlam, Manchester is co-owned By Neil and Anthony. We supply fresh "FLOWERS with PASSION and STYLE" to the Manchester area and worldwide via the Interflora relay service. We have been based in Irlam since 1981 and are proud to have a fully trained, well-qualified and experienced team that strives to give our customers the very best in service, style and design.Neil Whittaker NDSF AIFD FSF Anthony Williams NDSF AIFD FSF Co-owner Neil Whittaker has studied all over the world, gaining his National Diploma of Floristry (NDSF) in 1998, and his American Institute of Floral Design (AIFD) qualification in 2000. In 2010 he won the Croatian National Championship, just days after finishing an impressive seventh in the world at the Interflora World Cup in Shanghai. In 2009 he won a Gold Medal and Best in Show at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, taking the inaugural Chelsea Florist of the Year title and also became British Florist Association Florist of the Year 2010. Interflora Florist of the Year 2011 at Tatton Park RHS Show and will represent the UK in the Europa Cup Floristry Championships in the Czech republic in September 2011.Where he became Bronze Medal winner placed third in Europe. After several years working in international retail, co-owner Anthony Williams trained with Neil and has worked with him since 1990, gaining his NDSF qualification in 2004 and AIFD in 2005. He now demonstrates and teaches all over the UK and Ireland, and regularly tours Poland and Spain. His understanding of competition requirements is much in demand and he has assisted Neil and other UK representatives at international level including the World Cup, Europa Cup and Eurofleurs competitions. WEDDING CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

WEDDING DATE HELD WITHOUT BOOKING FEE: Wedding date will be held for only two weeks if no booking fee has been paid .If we do not received in the two weeks period we will open the date for other weddings. If after a consultation and we have still not heard from you within six weeks we will presume you do not wish to carry on with the order and will cancelled for our wedding folder.

WEDDING DATE HELD WITHOUT CONSULTATION: If you are booking along time in advance and wish to hold the date but want to leave the consultation nearer to the wedding time. A £50.00 booking fee will be charged to secure the date. This is Non-refundable as this will cover any other weddings we may have not taken prior to your wedding.

BOOKING FEE ON CONSULTAION:

We require a booking fee (25% of the overall cost of your wedding order) following an in-depth consultation, during which we will confirm your flower choice of flowers, designs and any hire products. Once agreed the price of your wedding this is when we will give you copy of details, sketches and breakdown of your wedding. Additional changes can be made within reason up to 14 Days prior to your wedding date. After this date a discussion with

Design Element Flowers will be required due to flowers will have been placed. If decided to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances the 25% booking fee in non-refundable and non-transferable this is used to cover the consultation fee and time prior to wedding and any other weddings that we may have not taken due to your booking.

PAYMENT OF YOUR WEDDING:

Full Payment is due 14days prior to your wedding either by cash, cheque, Debit Card or Credit Card. If payment is not received by the required date then we will only accept Cash, Debit or Credit Card payment. We will not accept cheques after the due date. Please note if paying by credit card we charge 2.5% if paying on Credit Card.

COPIES OF CONSULTATION NOTES AND SKETCHES: Upon receipt of your 25% booking fee Design Element Flowers will supply you with a detailed price breakdown and any sketches for your designs with a detailed flowers list.

CHANGES AND AVAILABILITY OF FLOWERS:

Flower content at times is subject to availability, particularly seasonal flowers, and such as we will do everything possible to ensure a suitable substitute is used to the same value. You will be advised of any changes as soon as it comes apparent that there is limited availability, but due to the nature of fresh materials we would ask you to be aware that this might happen at short notice.

WEDDING FLOWERS: Please note that we only use the freshest and best quality flowers for your wedding. We endeavour to provide the flowers at their peak appearance. However when working with a natural plant material there are rare occasions on which the degree of maturity is beyond our control, particularly when working with flowers sourced out of season. We endeavour to have flowers fully open but this sometimes is not the case to weather and variety.

FOAM HOLDERS: If your wedding bouquet is made into a foam holder please note that while every care has been taken during the production of your bouquet special care needs to be taken when holding them so nothing dislodges from the floral foam. If you would prefer your bouquet can be wired rather than in foam

the cost is typically 25% higher.

HAND-TIED BOUQUETS: Please note that hand-tied bouquets need to hold away from your dress to ensure fabrics are not marked by stems of foliage’s, pollen or wet stems. Hand-tied designs that are delivered in water need to be taken out of water one hour before to allow drying. If Lilies are used in your design we

endeavour to take out pollens before delivery but please note that closed flowers can open and pollen needs to be removed. We accept no responsibility for any marks that are created with open stemmed designs.

CANDLES: You may supply candles for inclusion in your designs but these should only be lit at your risk and with prior agreement with your venue. WE DO NOT

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY A BURNING CANDLE. That is used within your wedding flowers.

HIRE PRODUCTS: The cost of hired products (containers, stands , mirrors , vase etc.) will be itemised within your quotation. However due to loss , damage and

disappearance of hired items from functions in the past we now charge a deposit equal to the retail cost of replacing the items . This is charged to a credit card one week prior to the wedding and will be refunded immediately after the wedding upon collection and return of all hired products, less the cost of any missing items.

SETUP AND COLLECTION CHARGE:

The setup and collection fee is applicable for multiple deliveries addresses. (eg: church, reception ect )moving flowers from one venue to another ,and collection of hired products after the function this will be clearly itemised within your quotation.
