Seriously who has met another Kilen Before?I am half Irish, half wedding wizard.

You were probably expecting me to tell you I

love capturing moments, going on an adventure

and meeting new people who hopefully become

friends. But for me, wedding photography is much

deeper than this. Three years ago I had a successful

corporate job and was living a comfortable life.

But the moment I started photographing couples, it

quickly made me question my purpose and where

I wanted to go.

Our whole lives we are conditioned to think that

are passions are for after we clock out for work

and can’t exist in our careers. But I wanted to

change that. So, two years ago I took the crazy

risk of starting my own business. Because telling

a story with a camera allows me to bring a lot of

value into your lives. While at the same time giving

me a happiness I have never felt with anything

else. Beyond whether its photos or a film we create

together. Beyond the money and the little things I

do to make it a great experience. I want to leave

behind a story of your day that you and your

family will cherish forever.

I know I sa id it already, but for real though, I am glad you are here and even considering

me to capture your wedding day. I love bringing the energy! I am here for a good time! But I

want to make sure you here for an experience not just photos

To be honest if I don’t become a little choked up while editing your photos or film after your

wedding, then in my mind I didn’t do a good enough job. You both deserve to feel something

when looking back at your photos or film. The laughs between your closest friends. When

grandma shows her moves on the dance floor past 10pm. Seeing the sparklers light up your

exit. These are all moments you should be able to revisit over and over.

Occasionally I’ll pass some time around the

house and clone myself in the living room. That

way I can study, toss a ball and text my friends

all at the same time.

Lets face it whether you are eloping or planning a wedding. Its expensive! I get it!

But when it comes to photography or a film, you have to look at it as an investment.

I am not someone who has some fancy cameras and lenses running around taking

pictures. I shoot with purpose, capturing images that tell a story. I am punctual with

each couple I have a chance to work with and spend the time to get to know YOU

both as individuals and as a couple. Because in reality I am going to be with you

more on your wedding day than even your parents, so we have to jive!

Q: Is the reservation fee/retainer refundable?A: The initial reta iner that is due up front is

not refundable. However, it is transferable. Life

happens I get it, in the event you need to move

your event date you can use that towards the new

date as long as I am available.

Q: How do you accept payment?A: Payment is accepted via an E-Check online!

If you must pay by credit card or debit card a 3%

proccessing fee will have to be applied.

Q: What do we do if it’s raining on our wedding day or engagement session?A: An engagement session is usually easy to

reschedule if the weather is not ideal, but I love

shooting in the rain though! Part of being a

professional is adapting to less than ideal lighting

and weather conditions. Rest assured if its ra ining

on your wedding day we will still get some

amazing images!

Q: How many images can we expect from our engagement or wedding?A: For a engagment session I deliever a 50 images

minimum. A wedding based on eight hours of

coverage I will deliever 400 images minimum. 500

images based on 10 hours of coverage.

Q: Do you post everything you shoot online?A: No I will not post everything I shoot online.

But there will be some images from your

engagement shoot or wedding that will be posted

on instagram or in a blog post on my website.

Q: Do we need a second shooter?A: I generally do not shoot with a second shooter.

Sometimes I will have an assistant with me if

the bride and groom’s getting ready location is

far apart. If you are really interested in having a

second shooter I am always open to discuss this

further.

Q: Do your prices include tax?A: My prices do not include tax. Taxes are a little

hectic when you have clients both in Washington

and Oregon. The only time where a couple would

have to pay tax is if they live in Washington and

their wedding location resides in Washington as

well.

Q: Does it cost to have you travel to our wedding? How much?A: Yes there are travel fees involved if the

location is rather far. All of my packages do

include one hour of travel! But if you alls are

feeling adventourous I am down to go wherever.

It is $75.00 per additional hour of travel time

Q: What do you shoot with and are you insured?A: I am a Sony shooter. It offers me the ability to

shoot silently during your ceremony so you dont

have to worry about that sprinkler system going

off in the back haha! Yes I am insured.

Q: How do we pick photo locations? A: On an engagemnt shoot I usually first ask how

far you are willing to drive outside of portland

and then what you want your back drop to be!

(waterfall, valleys, mountains, coast, urban). Then

from there we can lock in a location.

On the wedding day photo locations are going to

be entirely dependent on light. This will assure

that you both get the best photos possible!

Q: Can we order prints of your images or does that cost extra?A: Absolutely! I encourage you to print your work

because how many people know where photos

you took 10 years ago are? Unless they are on

facebook haha! But prints can be ordered directly

through the online gallery!

Q: Can I have unedited versions of the photos or the RAWs?A: This is a question that will come up from time

to time. As you may already guess I cannot give

the raw files over to a client. I would hope you

are hiring me for my photography and my style in

how I edit my images! Its a total package!

Q: Can we bring our dog? Can we bring props?A: Is this even a legit question! YAAAS!

Engagement shoots are supposed to be free

flowing, fun and a chance for you both to let

loose! Serisouly one of my couples brought their

parents along and grabbed some shots of just

them as well. The more props the better! This will

also be outlined further in my clothing guide.

Q: How long until we get to see our photos?A: Right now I am maintaining a four week

turnaround time for your gallery to be delivered.

Q: Does the photographer retain the copyright to the images? Does that mean we can’t share them?A: I would keep the copyright to the images but

you are certainly allowed to share and print

whatever photos are delievered to you in your

gallery.

Q: Can you shoot JUST our engagment session if you’re not available for our wedding?A: Yes that will for sure happen from time to

time. The biggest thing I want you to know is I

love shooting and engagement sessions are a blast

for me as much as they are for you. So long story

short lets do it!

So you both are convinced I could be for you? *Does irish skip* Well lets get this

rolling! First I really want to either FaceTime you both or meet in person if you are

local. I want you to be 100% confident in your choice. Its your wedding. Its a BIG

deal!

After that if you are ready for the party I bring, I will send over a contract to sign.

Then I require a 50% retainer to reserve your date. The other 50% is due seven days

prior to the wedding day.

After all the boring business stuff is over with its time to go on an adventure. I’ll

go anywhere and everywhere to capture your story. Bring your faces, I’ll bring the

jams! Lets roll!

They held their wedding on the grooms parents

property out in Montana. Over half of their

guests camped the night with them underneath

the stars and campfire. This was truly an un-

forgettable evening!
