Hello!

Alexander & Bri here and we are what make up Alexander Francis Films. Together we’ve been

filming weddings since 2014 but our professional lives as creatives started in 2009 out of college.

Shooting weddings is the dream job that neither of us knew we wanted but after our first request fell

into our laps we quickly became obsessed with composing wedding stories.

Wedding films are fun to shoot because we get to spend one of the best days of a couple’s life with

them. It’s really a day filled with beauty in emotion and capturing that emotion & love is honestly

priceless in our opinion. The best compliment you get as a videographer is that your artwork

brought someone to tears. Our goal as videographers is not to simply get pretty moving shots nor is

it to film the ceremony from start to finish. The goal with Alexander Francis Films is to retell your

love story. We’re interested in the journey it took to make it to today, your wedding day. What are

your thoughts and dreams as newly married couple? Our style is made to stand out so that when

you revisit our film years later then you’re reminded of the loving head space that you were in the

day that you said “I DO”!

Outside of our profession we are a family of three with one on the way (or a newborn depending on

when you see this!!). We love shooting videos of family and spend an unreasonable amount of time

outdoors during the summer. Alexander works full time as a media producer and wakes up with

our GH5 (dslr) in his hand. Bri is more of a graphic artist and is Adobe’s number one fan. From

that description some may assume that we had creative kids as well but somehow we’re raising a

hardcore mathlete haha.

About Our Style

If you notice, the music that we select is not easily recognizable. It is important to us that we match the flow of the day with our

selection but we don’t use copywritten or popular arrangements as background music. Again, we really like to take the initiative to capture the emotion of the day with audio from none other than

you and your significant other. Who is going to tell your love story better? Quick hint: not Maroon 5. A lot of the time we’ll request

couples write each other letters to be switched off and read before the ceremony. We’ll also utilize vows written by the couple or even toasts from the reception. We’ve found that couples have the best response when they themselves, friends and family are driving the story forward and leaving sweet words of love and encouragement

for them to enjoy years down the road.

Wedding Day Timeline PrepBeing a husband and wife team has its perk when it comes to

filming. After we receive the final schedule from our couples we’re able to plan when and where we need to split up for coverage. It’s really cool because it gives you both a look into what your spouse

to be was thinking or feeling hours before taking your hand in marriage. We start our day a little after hair and makeup has

started and end after all reception events (including a few songs featuring your guests cutting a rug)!

For some, the thought of being followed like a reality star is anxiety inducing but please trust us when we say that the day FLIES BY!! There is usually so much going on that we’re no more noticeable

than the curtain in the window. Other than asking for a pose here and there, our ultimate goal is to capture the day how it happens.

Why Invest in a Wedding FilmThe big question is: Why do I need videography when I’m already going to have my wedding photographed? That is a legitimate question and we understand that alot of the times a videographer isn’t the first thing that pops up when wedding planning begins. Let’s put this thought out there. So far in life what are your memories of your favorite day! How much of it do you remember? Can you relive the overwhelming emotions that you felt? You feel proud and loved and if you could you’d probably bottle this feeling up in a jar for later. Next thing you know it’s the next day, then you blink and it’s your 3 year anniversary. What do you remember? We pride ourselves on bottling up those emotions that are outwardly expressed on your wedding day. Videography differs wildly from photography because it provides the actions and words that contributed to the vibe of your day. During your first looks with dad, do you remember what he said when

he started to tear up? We actually put a recorder/lav mic on dad so that years later you can hear how proud he was that you’re starting a new chapter.

Also what about the things you didn’t see? What were the guys doing during prep? How did your groom feel and act before meeting you down at the end of the aisle?

Our job is to tell the story of how you got to this moment as a couple and we get to use a combination of beautiful visuals, professional audio and natural love between friends and family to create a timeless wedding film.

We’d love to meet you! We have three requirements for booking a wedding date with Alexander Francis and we promise it’s nothing too outrageous. First, we’re serious when we say we’d love to meet you. Every wedding we request to set up a meeting with our couples prior to accepting payment or contracts. This gives us a chance to introduce ourselves in person and learn more about the both of you. Also we can discuss any questions you may have and hopefully we give you 100% confidence in our expertise. If scheduling is tight for the two of you or travel is an issue then we can and will schedule a quick phone or video conference as opposed to meeting in person.

Second (and Third), we require a 50% deposit of the package price as well as a returned copy of our contract signed. That’s it! From there we’re available for questions and concerns at anytime before your wedding date. We’ll be in touch again two weeks before the wedding to check in and get finalized details.

Do you travel and what are your travel fees?Yes we do travel, and love to do so! We’re currently located in Owensboro Ky and will travel up to 2 driving

hours away at no charge. Traveling over two hours we add a travel fee of 53.5 cents per mile. Travel over 4 driving hours away from our home base will have the associated mileage fee as well as hotel accomodations added to the package price. If you are having a destination wedding that will require airplane travel or customs fees please contact us for a custom proposal.

How long will it take to see my footage?Our standard turn around time is 90 days from the wedding date. We know that this sounds like a lifetime but we want to be sure that you’re receiving equal quality across the board. We’d hate to have a great booking season but then produce rushed and sloppy work at the end of it. With that being said we do release several clips of your wedding beforehand to ease the wait! First we release a 60 sec trailer online (way before the 90 day mark) and then you’ll receive your highlight film digitally as well prior to the final due date.

Do you include raw footage?Unfortunately this isn’t something that we offer at the moment. Everything that we deliver is edited and color corrected.

How many videographers will be filming my wedding?Every wedding is expected to have two videographers (Alexander and Bri). If an interference occurs beyond our control we will alert our couples that we will be substituting second shooters. This substitution will cover either Alex or Bri but not both.

What parts of the day will you be filming?We generally like to arrive a little bit after the bride has began getting either her hair or makeup started. During this time we’ll greet our brides and sometimes depending on the vibe of the day we’ll make small conversation to add to the video “How did you guys meet? or How did he propose?” We don’t stay the entire hair appointment we will try to move on to get footage of other things working around your wedding day (schedule permitting). For example, your reception being set up or we’ll check in on mom & dad getting ready. Next we’ll shoot the finishing touches of the both of you getting dressed. At this time we also like to have our couple seperately read their letters. We shoot the ceremony in full, we do staged shots during the photoshoot time, and cover all main events during the reception.

Will you be covering the rehearsal dinner?We do not automatically film the rehearsal dinner. If time permits we may pop into the rehearsal portion of the night if we have questions concerning the venue (lighting, audio, how you’ll be standing). If footage of the rehearsal dinner is desired we recommend our engagement add on. With this add on we’ll spend some time with our couple the day before at the rehearsal dinner or some couples like to do a night on the town shoot before the big day. The creativity is wide open!

What forms of payment do you accept?We accept check, and bank transfer through Quickbooks (recommended)

What is the process to book with Alexander Francis Films?In order to book a wedding with our company we ask for three things! First, we request to meet with each and every couple that is interested in hiring us. If travel is an issue or schedules conflict then we do hold phone and video conferences. Second, we require 50% of the package cost as a deposit. Last, we require our contract returned to us signed via email or postage.

Can we meet before we book Alexander Francis Films?

This was answered previously but we just want to heavily enforce that we do not book weddings without personally speaking or meeting with couples. If we can we will go out for coffee and chat about your wedding plans and answer your questions on how we work. Some couples are busy and we respect that so we will take phone or video chat meetings. We think that this step is important because it gives us a chance to formally introduce ourselves and iron out a good plan for your individual wedding.

Do you offer any specials?We offer a collaboration discount with our good friend Ashley Cook from CocoBean Photography.
