Tonight closes out the four-game Louisville-Indianapolis Proximity Association Football Contest rivalry series for 2020 – at least in regular season play. Indy Eleven 0W-2L-1D 2020 series record began with a 1-1 draw on the Aug. 8 before dropping a 0-1 result at Lynn Family Stadium on Aug. 26 and falling 1-3 on Sept. 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium. While Indiana’s Team has gone a disappointing 2W-6L-4D against Louisville City in all competitions, the series is even at 1W-1L-1D in their USL Championship regular season meetings in the Circle City since 2018. The Group E lead will again on the line this evening at Lucas Oil Stadium, just like it was 11 days ago – but this time it’s Louisville that holds the advantage heading into the contest. See the group standings back on Page 4, and do the math in your head as far as playoff berth “magic numbers” are concerned with the knowledge that Indy ends its 16-game regular season slate with two of three contests against Saint Louis FC. Forward Jeremy Rafanello opened his Indy Eleven scoring account in style last Wednesday, scoring the game-winning goal in the second half of the 2-1 triumph over Sporting Kansas City II. The New Jersey native became the tenth different player to tally a goal for Indiana’s Team in the 2020 season.

Earlier in that contest – just six minutes in, to be exact – forward Nick Moon tallied his second of the campaign, making him the first Indy Eleven player not named Tyler Pasher to score since a 4-1 win over Hartford Athletic on July 29. Moon scored in the 4th minute of that victory against Hartford at Lucas Oil Stadium, giving him possession of the two earliest goals notched by Indy in 2020.

Guiding Principles

Indy Eleven aims to create a safe stadium environment for our fans by adhering to federal, state, and local guidelines relating to the COVID-19 pandemic with specific focus on the following strategic elements:

Mandatory Requirements – Face masks and temperature checks upon entry for all fans:

• All fans who require a ticket (aged 3 years or older) will be required to wear a self-provided cloth mask, medical mask, or face covering that securely covers their mouth and nose at all times inside the stadium, except for when eating or drinking.

• A health employee will perform a temperature check with a temporal thermometer on all fans prior to entering the facility.

Social Distancing – mitigating key congregation points to ensure the maintenance of social distancing wherever possible.

Minimal Contact – institute strategies that reduce physical contact points with people and surfaces.

Cleanliness – ensure focus on routine cleaning of high-volume touch areas such as handrails and common surfaces.

Participant Safety – mitigating risk to fans, players, coaches, and officials.

Indy Eleven Home Game with Limited Crowd Size & Social Distancing Measures

A. Roof & Window

• The roof and window will be open weather permitting.

B. Ticketing

• All ticketing will be reserved seating only. • Seats will only be sold in lower level with social distancing built into the ticket manifest to

ensure the highest level of safety for fans. • Seats will be sold in small groups of 1-4 seats and will be separated from surrounding

seats by a minimum of 4 seats or 6 feet. (example below) • Groups will be staggered to ensure a minimum of one full row between groups

immediately in front or behind a group to ensure 6 feet of social distance.• Box Office• Guest ticket will call and game day ticket purchase options will continue to take place at

the box office. • All box office lines will have marked guidelines for fans to maintain social distancing

during purchase. • All lines will be at least six feet apart and will be marked on the ground.

C. Parking

• No tailgating will be permitted. • Parking will open 90 minutes prior to stated kickoff time; For example: parking lots will

open at 5:30 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff

• Credit cards and cash will be accepted. • Parking Gates 1 & 6 will be only open gates for spectators.• All parking attendants will be required to wear face masks. • Guests will be required to show their pre-paid pass to the attendant; all attendants will

maintain social distancing and the Guest will be required to present the pass behind a closed window.

D. Stadium Entry & Security

• Fan Ingress All fans should enter the venue via the gate designated on their ticket, which will correspond to their seating location. Ex: Fans with South Goal ticket should enter through the South Gate.• All fans who require a ticket (aged 3 years or older) will be required to wear a self-

provided cloth mask, medical mask, or face covering that securely covers their mouth and nose at all times inside the stadium, except for when eating or drinking.

• Gates North, East, South, and West will be open for entry. • Every other door in the entry door banks will be open at each location; doors will be

propped open so that guests do not have to touch the door or door handle. • Guest entry lines will have a marked every 6 feet to mark the social distancing queues. • Fans should enter the venue in stages Exact details are being finalized: For example, for a 7:00 advertised kickoff: 6:00 to 6:15 – Group 1 (First 30% of rows in each section) 6:15 to 6:30 – Group 2 (Next 25%) 6:30 to 6:45 – Group 3 (Next 25%) 6:45 to 7:00 – Group 4 (Final 20%) 7:00 to 8:00 – All Groups 8:00 – Gates closed for ingress 1. The first of three parts of spectator entry to the stadium will be a health/temperature checkpoint. • A security gameday employee will verbally ask each fan if they have been in close

contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days, are experiencing a loss of taste or smell, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat.

• If the fan answers yes, then they will be denied entry and asked to contact Indy Eleven customer service via phone or e-mail the next business day to seek a ticket exchange.

• If the fan answers no, then the health employee will perform a temperature check with a temporal thermometer.

• A fan who registers a temperature under 100.4 degrees will move on to the next part of entry.

• If the fan registers a temperature over 100.4 then they will be denied entry and asked to contact Indy Eleven customer service via phone or e-mail the next business day to seek a ticket exchange.

• If a fan feels their temperature reading may have been inflated because of external factors like the heat of the day or excess physical exertion they will have the option to try to “cool down” either in their vehicle or away from the gates at the perimeter of the venue before attempting entry again.

2. Part two of spectator entry will be the security screening. • Walkthrough magnetometers will be utilized at each gate. • Wands will be available if necessary. • Bags will be prohibited from entering the venue with the following exceptions: • Bags needed for medical purposes • Diaper bags accompanying an infant • Small clutch or zipped wallets will be permitted inside the building (No larger than 4.5”x

6.5”) • All bags meeting the exception standards will be subject to search in a touchless manner. • Typical supporter allowances such as tifo and instruments are prohibited • Individual signs of support (2 poles, flags) are still permitted. 3. The third and final part of spectator entry will be the ticket scan. • Ticket scanning will be contactless. The fan will be required to display their barcode to the

scanner who will scan the ticket. • Hand sanitation stations will be placed by ingress points. • Fan Egress will be managed by security event staff • Sections will exit by row, with the last row exiting first and the first row exiting last. • Fans will be encouraged to exit the stadium through the same gate in which they entered. • Fan egress will be monitored by each section’s usher. • Hand sanitation stations will be placed by egress points. • The stadium PA announcer will make multiple addresses in support of the fan egress

procedures.

E. Housekeeping/Cleaning Procedures

• All housekeeping staff and efforts will have to be highly visible and follow a consistent

cleaning and sanitation process through the entire duration of the event, in all the areas of the building.

• All employees will be required to wear face masks and encouraged to wash their hands with soap and water frequently/when breaks are taken.

• Housekeeping will ensure all spectator areas are cleaned and sanitized before gates open

F. Food & Beverage/Concessions

All Centerplate staff will adhere to the strict guidelines put in place regarding the self-temperature screenings/temperature screening on property, wearing of face masks and gloves, increased hand washing practices as well as implementing safety shields/sneeze guards on all concession stands and food areas.

Food & Beverage Modifications – The following is a list of operational changes that Centerplate is implementing in response to COVID-19 preparedness.

Modified food and beverage service • Adaptable menus and served in closed containers• Replacing bulk condiments with single-serve packets • Eliminating any/all refills (food or beverage)• Individually packaged meals• Lids on all beverages before service • Increased availability of grab and go items • Modified catering/buffet services (back of house service areas/locker rooms)• Placement of hand sanitizer in all service areas and at fronts of “served” Buffet areas Single-use supplies • Covered dispensers for utensils, service ware and napkins• Individually wrapped cutlery• Use of sealed containers, wraps and lids for all food and beverage itemsElevated COVID-19 training for team members to return to work• Appointment of onsite Health Ambassador focused on COVID-19 policies for ALL staff

G. Merchandise

A limited selection of items will be available for sale at merchandise stands.

• Items will not be able to be tried on.• Each stand will have a minimum of two points of sale. • Each point of sale will be separated by at least 6 feet. • Checkout lines will have floor markings indicating 6 foot feet intervals where customers

wait. • All employees will wear masks.• Hand sanitizer will be available for use at each point of sale.

H. Guest Movement Management

Concourse Lanes will be implemented. Arrows will be placed on the floor to show which direction stadium guests will be recommended to travel. Stadium security staff will encourage concourse traffic lanes to cut down on guests crossing paths and limit person to person contact.

J. Event Staff Requirements

All stadium and event staff will be:

• required to wear a self-provided cloth or medical mask at all times.• required to regularly wash or sanitize their hands.• subject to temperature checks.

K. Player Safety

• Field level access will be restricted to essential employees only; no fans will be allowed onto the field, with no exceptions.

• Referees, players, and staff must wear cloth or medical masks throughout the match (including transportation to the match for visiting team) with the exception of players and referees engaged in on-field activities.

• Player escorts, flag bearers, and ball kids are not permitted. • Players are discouraged from hugging, high fiving, etc. following matches and goals.
