GENERAL TIPS:
o Great project after students have learned about slow changes on earth. This product can be used to assess students’ knowledge of the processes of weathering, erosion, and deposition.
o Materials needed:o Directions sheet (included)o White paper (8.5 x 11 inch works or larger
poster paper)o Sharpies (optional)o Coloring utensils
o Project Implementation Idea:o Read through directions with students.o Brainstorm titles as a class to get their
creative juices flowing!o Have students sketch their plan (area for title
and three sections).o In pencil students add drawings and
information.o Students use a sharpie to outline poster to
make it pop!o Students add color with crayons or colored
pencils.
o Rubric is included for grading.

For this project you will neatly draw, label, and describe the process of weathering, erosion, and deposition by creating a diagram.
Directions:
A. Create and design a title for your diagram at the top of the page. Be sure
that your title makes sense and connects to the information you will
present in the diagram.
B. Section your paper into three parts. One will show weathering, the
second will show erosion, and the last will show deposition.
C. For each of the 3 sections, label it with the following headings:
a. Weathering
b. Erosion
c. Deposition
D. Include a drawing for each part of the process to show what happens
during that time.
E. Use arrows to show the order of the 3 processes.
F. Write 1 sentence for each section that tells its definition.
G. Write 1 sentence for each section describing an example of that process.
H. Neatly color your diagram.
