As you all know, we have been studying the planets and the earth this week. A list of the planets is here for you:Mercury – The planet with the second highest temperature in the Solar System and the closest planet to the Sun.Venus – The warmest planet.Earth – The only planet in the solar system that is known to have life. It has one moon.Mars – Sometimes called the "red planet", Mars is the closest planet to the earth.Jupiter – The largest planet in the whole Solar SystemSaturn – Sixth planet from the Sun. It has giant rings around it.Uranus – Sometimes called the "sideways planet".Neptune – The farthest planet from the Sun.

In class, we have learned different characteristics about each planet. For this project, you will need to take that knowledge and apply it in the form of a commercial.

What would it be like to visit a different planet? Scary? Fun? Awesome? I want to know what you think it would be like to travel through the galaxy into outerspace!

For this project, you will be exploring the possibility of visiting another planet. You will be paired with two other people. You will need to make a commercial pretending you have been to that planet and now you must advertise to other people about it. What was so great about it? How is the weather(remember to look at the climate chart in your book, this needs to be accurate weather from the planet!)

CHECKLIST TO INCLUDE IN YOUR COMMERCIAL:

Pictures of the planet and neighboring planetsHow far is it from the Earth? What to pack?ClimateMeans of transportation

Not sure how to make a movie? Check out this website: http://www.minimoviemakers.com/. It has information on how to make a movie and on what program to make a movie in!
