Critical Condition

It is the Department’s position that these grade placement practices conflict with the purpose of Iowa Code 279.68:

● DE’s Review of Programs/Intervention Survey

● Following the winter screening window, weekly progress monitoring and interventions will be mandatory for all students who are considered substantially deficient.

● Keystone plans to support the implementation of interventions through providing a Vendor Showcase.

Interventions/Programs Showcase

● This showcase will bring in developers of program based on the state’s intervention survey that was sent out to districts.

● Survey results will be reviewed and filtered to find the most suitable programs to bring in.

● The final details are still being prepared. The hope is to have the showcase in April 2015.

● This will give schools plenty of time to spend their allotted dollars.
