1. Events Attended:a. Lake Campus Rise. Shine. Campaign Launch - 3-22-2015b. First Amendment Event - Panelist - 3-24-2015c. Meeting of Ohio University Leaders - 3-28-2015d. ArtsGala - 3-28-2015

2. Old Business:a. Vacant positions: Due to the end of the academic year coming

quickly, it was decided to not open up any of the vacant positions for appointment, because of the time it would take to conduct a search and then transition the new member, it would not provide for a productive term.

b. Electronic invites and save the dates for the Scholarship Banquet were emailed out to the invitees list. Hard copies will be mailed out very soon. The event is on Saturday, April 25 from 6-9 PM. Please mark your calendars for this.

c. I spoke with Mr. Matt Boaz, Director of Equity and Inclusion regarding the It’s On Us campaign that he was interested in creating a video for across campus at WSU, but due to recent development he was informed that there is actually an internal movement already working towards this that he will be work on with the assistance of SG members.

d. The Student Government Strategic Planning Committee met on Thursday, March 19 and drafted the strategies for each goal. The committee will be meeting again this Thursday, April 2 to edit the drafted strategies as well as compile the entire plan in a single document to edit. Expect a progress report on the goals and strategies at the Tuesday, April 7 regular Student Government meeting.

e. The implementation committee for the Tobacco Task Force is still waiting on further guidance on how to move forward in regards to a tobacco free campus. There was some questions brought up from various faculty stakeholders that the administration wanted to address prior to moving forward with the newly formed sub-committee.

3. New Business:a. I was contacted by a member of the American Cancer

Association seeking advice and help to get move outreach on WSU and in Greene County/Beavercreek. I will be meeting with their regional representative this Tuesday, March 31.

Meeting where the new Speaker and Assistant Speaker were appointed.

b. On Thursday March 19 and Thursday March 26, I attended the March Social Meetings for the House of Representatives where the House discussed officer transitions with the student organizations.

c. On Friday March 27, I attended Delta Tau Delta Fraternity’s DeltFest.

d. On Saturday March 28, I attended Delta Zeta Sorority’s Mr. WSU men’s pageant.

e. On Sunday March 29, I attended FSGC’s 2015 Greek Week Kick-off/ Community Service event in Fairborn Community Park.

8. Old Business:a. After looking into student organization governing bodies at

other Ohio universities, I found that most schools have their student orgs under their office or center of student activities, and the House of Representatives (or the school’s equivalent) does not normally oversee the orgs.

9. New Business:a. House will be holding a large ice cream social for its final

meeting on Thursday April 9th. Anybody who is interested can come, but they must give feedback to House first.

b. House is beginning the transition period with the new Speaker and Assistant Speaker in order to help them effectively plan out next year and take House in the direction they want it to go.

a. Completed survey for DLTFb. Worked with CaTS to get the survey sent out to all students - everyone please take the surveyc. Working on a resolution in support of DLTF recommendations - will work with Academic Affairs Committee to improve upon initial draftd. Worked with Kyle to modify and upload application to our website - everyone please apply if interested, and get others with good leadership potential to applye. Reviewed SOBC and prepared for presentation

       2. New Business:             

a. Presented SOBC for SG next year - thank you Zena for helping prepare and presentb. Continuing to write resolution for DLTF in support of student success effortsc. Worked with DLTF to work the survey results into the reportd. Met at OSU with other SG Presidents and leaders from across Ohio to discuss future collaboratione. Working with Celia Wright from OSU and other Student Body Presidents to contest the line item in House Bill 54 (transportation bill) which restricts voting

       3. Associate’s Report:a. The Strategic Planning Session will meet on April 2, 2015

b. The Hospitality Committee plan on meeting April 16, 2015c. Working with Ian Kallay and matt Buford to plan a Baseball Game cookout on April the tenth:

- Hired a DJ- Ordered food- Reserved the tables and tents- Set the meetings- Withdrew the money- Bought the generators

4. Administrative Office Report: a. If you see an athlete on campus, don’t be afraid to give them a

compliment. Let them know that they are appreciated for all their hard work. It is very easy to feel like no one cares about them and that can cause a lack of confidence.

5. Outreach (if applicable): a. We need four or five volunteers to work the tailgate next Friday.

I will be sending out an invite. PLEASE make it if you are not busy. Free food and shirts. I will be sending a copy of the promotional flier to everyone. Senators, if you could forward that out to your respective colleges, that would be much appreciated.

b. Patrick is leading the March Madness Tournament with 1050 total points. Alex is in second with 990. And Katelyn, Kyle, and myself are tied for third with 890 going into the final four.
