Southeast Asia is also considered as a leading export market for flowers. Bangkok and Singapore intend to develop regional transportation hubs for shipment of cut flowers from the whole region and even Yunnan province, China’s leading flower growing province. Horti ASIA offers a great business platform for the industry. The concept of transportation hubs will imply that all cut flowers intended for export to Northeast Asian countries will be initially shipped through one of these hubs and then further distributed to the end buyers like Japan, Korea, Taiwan or Singapore. In the future this distribution route will be extended to Australia and New Zealand.
