Your budget should include all components of the project (e.g. start up, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, etc.)

In-kind and volunteer contributions are to be expressed as: $250/day for skilled labour; $100 for unskilled labour (Standard day = 8 hours); standard charge out rates for professionals.

Provision of data, technical drawings, etc. from BC Hydro and other organizations should not be assumed. Costs associated for such requests should be included in the project budget (e.g. $350/day).

Please provide as much detail as possible.

PART IV – Project Proposal

Include the following information in your Project Proposal. It is to be typed and not to exceed a total of six pages; this six-page limit does not include past project lists, literature cited, and credentials and qualifications. Proposals exceeding this length may not be considered.

Part IV is where you are to expand on information provided in Part I as applicable, and provide new information where necessary. Please submit a separate for file (i.e. Word document) for Parts IV and V or combine all parts (I to V) of the application into one PDF file.

PROPOSAL FORMATa. Introduction and Background. (Include a statement about the conservation concern, how it

relates to the FWCP-Coastal watershed and action plans, and a general indication of how the proposed project will address the concern and/or contribute toward achievement of the priority objectives and actions identified in the FWCP-Coastal plans.)

b. Methods and Approach.c. Deliverables.d. Value-added Criteria (e.g. community outreach, co-funding partnerships, in-kind contributions

and volunteer involvement.)e. Risks and Benefits – include a statement of the risk of potential negative impacts and potential

positive benefits on no-target environmental components (fish, wildlife and habitats) and heritage resources.

f. Measure of Success – define the measure of success (i.e. short and long-term) of your project.g. Communication Plan – describe how you intend to communicate information about your

project (e.g. press and other news media, publications, signage, etc.). Use the FWCP Signage and Logo Guidelines document found at fwcp.ca if applicable.

projects), and include contact information. i. Literature Cited – include any literature cited in the preparation of your proposal and embed

date on the project. k. Credentials and Qualifications – submit a credentials and/or qualifications page (e.g. resume)

for each key project personnel involved (e.g. project manager, lead biologist, site supervisor, contractors, etc.). A maximum of one page per person.

PART V – Supporting Documentation

1. Letters of Support

Letters of support are:1. NOT to be written by the applicant. 2. NOT to be accepted under separate cover; please include with application submission.3. NOT to be received after the deadline.

Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Canadian Wildlife Services, BC Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, etc.).

c. A private, public or community organization that is independent of the proponent that may be directly affected.

2. Safety and Environmental Plans

Applicants are to identify if the project work is on land owned, operated or controlled by BC Hydro. If so, safety plans will be required prior to project initiation. In addition, these projects may also require an Environmental Management Plan to be submitted to and approved by BC Hydro prior to project initiation.
