This week’s program was a special presentation by the Strings from the Urbana High School band program under the leadership of Tamra Gingold. The group played selections from a wide variety of music selections from classic to pop. The majority of the group were sophomores with one freshman playing today. Their selections included a number from Motzart, one from Bach, and then proceeded to become a little more modern showing a wide skill level of the players. A most enjoyable concert was presented to the club membership by the string instruments.

Tamra Gingold is in her first year as band director at UHS and plans to return to the club next week for another presentation with a group.
