NET 453 Mini Project

Abstract:

Antennas are mainly found in communication applications, with most uses in telecommunications. Antennas can be divided into four basic types by their major performance characteristics. These antenna types are introduced so that the common features can be grasped early in the study of antennas. The four antenna types are listed:

1. Electrically Small Antennas2. Resonant Antennas3. Broadband Antennas4. Aperture Antennas

In a group of four students, you are supposed to work through research to provide a report and perform a group presentation. The mark distribution will depend on the completion of the work.

Writing a report:

The report should include the following:

Introduction Antenna principle Directivity and Gain Antenna radiation pattern Antenna applications and frequency range Conclusion

Document your work in a report with the following format:

The paper must have cover page with the names of the group members and sections.

The font needs to be Times New Roman with size 14.

Table of content should be in the beginning. The reference will be at the end.

Making a presentation:

Make a simple presentation including the following:

The project title. The team members and the role of each member (maximum four

members for each group). Summary for the project Prepare yourself for the discussion by making a power point file which

has been discussed in the tutorial and come with your group to discuss you project.

The submission:

You must submit your work ( report +power point file) before 5/4/2015. If you are late, that will cost you 0.5 mark for each day.
