St Matthew’s Church Christmas Fayre This will take place on Saturday 21st November 2015 at the Parish Centre from 11am-3.00pm. There will be craft stalls, grocery stalls, home produce, Love Bread, books, CDs, Christmas Decorations, tombola, raffle and much, much more including refreshments served in the ‘Upstairs Café’. Special Guest Father Christmas will also be in his grotto.

Well done to Jonathon for winning the book prize in the story writing competition at Rastrick Library last week.

Boomerang have very kindly donated several books and Star Wars magazines to our school library.

Sport’s Training at lunchtime will end on 27th November and re- commence after February half term.

2015 Rastrick Christmas Lights switch-on will take place at Highfield Road shops on Wednesday 25th November at 6pm and at St Matthew’s parish Centre on Friday 27th November at 7pm. Children can win the chance to switch on the lights too!

PFA News Tim Newsome, Gracie’s dad in J3 has offered to take on the role of Chair of PFA. We are very pleased to have Tim to steer us through our events and fund-raising activities. The Christmas Fayre is on Tuesday 1st December and our next disco will be the Christmas Disco on Thursday 17th December. At both of these events any support from our parents will be much appreciated.We are collecting coloured Christmas decorations for the year groups stalls, please check with your child what colour they are collecting.

Following the hugely successful event last year, there will be real camels outside Central Methodist Church (opposite Wilko) as part of the Brighouse Victorian Weekend on 28-29th November.  There will also be a life-sized interactive nativity, face painting, children's activities and donkey rides.  Food and drink will be available, and there will also be the opportunity to visit the 'Christmas carols and conifers' display in the Church.
