Suresh and Theresa were updated with information of last week’s meeting with regards

to shuffling the units for next year. Theresa mentioned the importance of linking the ideas to the iGCSE syllabus. Action: Dona will draft up a

proposal, along with clear links to iGCSE syllabus and send it to everyone by next week, for

discussion. Adrian to assist with allocating MYP trinity.

Everyone shared good practice with regards to the current MYP 10 unit, shared teaching

methods and resources. (All teachers now have access to Google Drive where the resources are

being shared on a weekly basis)

MYP 10 – Unit 2 – Too much time allocated – maybe the need to add in

more or make the unit shorter

MYP 11 – No final unit – Adrian & Theresa will both deliver a synoptic

unit – Adrian will focus on Entrepreneurship (Dragon’s Den

simulation), Theresa will run a Trade Fair & guest speaker. Dona will deliver

examination style training.

General T&L = All students are on track with their assessments for Grade 10 and Grade 11. Students will

submit electronic copies of their journals and presentations then do their presentations. Theresa is

doing peer assessment to get students more involved with understanding the rubric – GOOD IDEA!

Grade 11 students will sit the same assessment as last year, assessed against the same rubric as other test

papers. Adrian to send a copy to Dona.Wangsa Maju Campus Reports – Subject grades in my

Moderation = We discussed possible moderation samples for next year. Questions came up regarding

the need to record the upcoming Grade 10 presentations. Dona spoke to Alice regarding this –

We do not need to record the presentations unless we are certain that we want to use it as a sample next

year. We could use the evidence that we already have from Q2 (The communication website) and upcoming assessment in Q4 (Finance test paper). This will give

us evidence of Criterion A (twice), B (once), and C (twice) and D (once). We will have this evidence ‘banked’ in case we need to add it to whatever

sample we finalise for next year. WE NEED TO FINALISE NEXT WEEK WHAT WE WANT
