‘THE APOSTASIA OF CHRIST’By direct revelation of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul wrote to God's people –

"Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to meet Him [the Rapture of Believers]...

Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day [the Rapture] will not come unless –

1. The 'apostasia' comes first, and

2. The man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition"

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3.

In other words, these two things must first happen before the Lord takes His people to Himself [not to Heaven*] into His resurrection glory.

HAVING ALREADY INSTRUCTED THE THESSALONIAN BELIEVERS DIRECTLY WHILE HE WAS WITH THEM, NOW WRITES TO THEM TO CORRECT THE ERROR BEING SPREAD THAT THE RETURN OF JESUS FOR THE BELIEVERS WAS 'IMMINENT',

Firstly, an Omnipresent One cannot be "taken out of the way", any more than that He 'arrived' on the Day of Pentecost (click for detail)

Secondly, that the active agency of God's creative wisdom and power could be treated as a passive object that could ever be "taken" is an impossibility, other than in the poetic style of a Psalm to describe the loss of a personal relationship. God's Spirit is always everywhere!

But more importantly still, He the Spirit does not deal with the politics of this world – that is the agency of God's angels – or so the Bible teaches us. And, this is very much a political situation that precedes Christ's return. All the more reason to write in an obscure manner for the sake of the safety of believers from persecution by the government of their day.

Light from its Old Testament background to Paul's teaching completes our understanding of 'apostasia'.

In Daniel's first prophecy of the empires that would rule his 'Beautiful Land' (Palestine) from his time up to the end (when the Messiah receives the kingdom), the last phase of these four empires is described as the 'feet' of the image which are made of iron mixed with baked clay which does not bond or hold together (Dan.2:43). This special focus on disunity in imperial government of human history's final phase should guide our thinking here, as it undoubtedly did for Paul.

Lawlessness is the dominant description of Antichrist at his coming.

Political Disintegration

This is not the lawlessness of a Jew who rebels against the Law of Moses. This is a description to Gentile believers, in a Roman controlled city, of the future final world ruler.

It would really have been strange if the 'apostasia' had no relation to its accompanying sign of the Man of Lawlessness (as some teach) whose coming is promoted by the "secret power of lawlessness" that is "already at work".

The counter to this lawlessness is law and order – the special strength of the Roman governing authorities, personified in the Caesar himself. Here, the necessary obliqueness of Paul's reference (2 Thess.2:7) is therefore important.

The combination of paired archetypes is shown within the figure of Hermaphrodites, which is basically a combination of Hermes the Magician or Uranus and Aphrodite or Venus (personified by the Archangel of Strength Gabriel).

The Magician’s wand on the left hand side shows the ‘fires of the powerful healing, Kundalini force,’ along with the serpent inside the ‘Cup of Dionysus,’ which combines beautifully with the ‘three headed serpent’ of the alchemical archangel of Strength. Dreams, visions and feelings of ‘de ja vu,’ all come from this unique realm where the opposites are brought together: the masculine and feminine - in a balanced format. According to the gnostic tradition – these images are represented by ‘the invisible ones, ‘as a symbol for the ‘Sovereignty of Christ.’

The Hypostasis of the Archons

It is from Seth's descendants who would possess the gnosis. The Apocryphon of John went on to say, Sophia prepared a place for the souls in heaven, where Jesus, the incarnation of the aeon Christ would disclose the true knowledge of how to return to their true home in with the Spirit (in pleroma), where they would ascend past the rulers (archons) and be healed of all deficiency and become holy and faultless.

In the beginning there was only one invisible Spirit – perfect, pure, holy, immaculate, ageless and virgin. He was the Ineffable One. He is neither corporeal, nor incorporeal. He is invisible because no one can see

him, yet he emanated pure, immeasurable light. He is indestructible and eternal. Jesus revealed whom the real Supreme Being or Heavenly Father (in the New Testament), as the First Aeon, and The God. In this text, he was mostly referred to the "invisible Spirit" or "holy Spirit". In the Gospel of the Egyptians, he is called the "Great, Invisible Spirit". For the sake of convenient, I will call him Father or Spirit.

SAMADHI – ‘as shown by the masters’URANUS - APHRODITE

The following study relies on the proper understanding of the pairing of philosophical opposites – the masculine and feminine gender roles- along with the correct zodiac and planetary attributions. In the third tier is the Emperor: ‘Perseus glorified in the Sun’, and Temperance as ‘Bootes – the Bear Keeper,’ in the constellation of Scorpio. The angelic realm is the Principalities - ‘able to move the hearts and minds of Man and perform inexplicable miracles’.

The Hierophant personifies the zodiac sign of Aries as ‘Orion the Hunter,’ whilst the Devil is the North Crown, the Northern wind, (or Ariadne’s thread) - in Sagittarius. The student is ready to recognise his own innocence with regard to the ‘social conscience’ befitted by the Hierophant’s role, and begins to be self-assuring in the face of apprehension and self-doubt – being the outer manifestation of anxiety and fears etc. Dominions are in control of their ‘emotional faculties.’
