Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the welding area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. 1. Create quality welds according to blueprints (weld symbols). 2. Inspect welds for accuracy. 3. Change wire, welding, as needed. 4. Change gas tanks, as needed. 5. Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use. 6. Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required. 7. Perform simple maintenance and repair as required. 8. Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by TCH standards. 9. Responsible for identifying and moving of all finished products to the proper location. 10. Assemble machines; bolt, weld, rivet, and fasten machine to foundation or other structures. 11. Operate various welding, soldering or brazing equipment to assemble parts. 12. Use various precision measuring equipment to check work as needed. 13. Operate hoist, dollies to move assemblies from one location to another. 14. Guide assisting personnel on correct procedures. 15. Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.

Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma with at least 1 year of experience working with mig and tig welding.

Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as layouts, blueprints, sketches. Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one situations to other employees in the organization.

Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and circumference. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other QualificationsRequires the ability to operate various equipment to include welding equipment. Requires a broad knowledge of mechanics, metal properties, welding techniques and maintenance procedures and practices.
