Objectives:The objective of this contest is to increase awareness and engagement for the @wkugordonford Instagram page.

Description of Contest:Students will be prompted to take a picture of their favorite part of GFCOB (this could include their favorite class, favorite professor, favorite study spot, etc.) and post it to Instagram. They must follow @wkugordonford, tag @wkugordonford, and also use the hashtag #MyGordonFord in order to be eligible for a chance to win the prize - a $50 gift card to the WKU Store. GFCOB professors will vote on the top 5 entries and these selected photos will be re-grammed to the @wkugordonford Instagram page for voting. After the photos have been posted, the contest will run for 48 hours. Voting will be measured by likes, as the winner will be selected by highest number of likes on their photo.

Hashtag Research:There were no search results found for #MyGordonFord - this will make it easy for us to track who is participating and allow others to view the contest posts by simply clicking or searching our hashtag.

Effectiveness: This campaign will benefit GFCOB by increasing engagement and awareness with current students and prospective students. We believe that this contest will make people more aware of our social media presence and encourage them to engage with us. The purpose of reposting the finalist’s pictures to the @wkugordonford Instagram page is to make students, friends, family, or whomever the finalist might recruit to help them win, forced to visit our Instagram page in order to like the photo. The $50 gift card is a great incentive for students to participate because every student is in need of clothing, books, school supplies, etc.
