Ryan Horvath 1208226 Job Applications 6AD001 Creative Industries and Opportunities. Although I currently have a permanent part-time job at Primark, West Bromwich, I spoke to a friend who currently works at the RSA Academy, Tipton, about an upcoming job their which would be based in their LRC (Learning Resource Centre). Having already worked at the school as an invigilator for summer exams over the past two years and upcoming year, he thought that I would be a suitable candidate for the role and asked me to apply for the job. As I will leave university at the end of May, this job would be suitable for me as it would be a full time position and that the school year does not start until September, giving me time to start trying to establish an online profile as an illustrator. After speaking with my friend in person about the job, he proceeded to send me a text with the details of how to apply and that he had already established contact with the person I should apply to, so that he knew he shoul be expecting an email off myself. I followed up the text with an email to Tim Waltho, the LRC Manager at the RSA Academy, and explained why I would be a suitable applicant for the job as I already have experience at the RSA through invigilating and being an ex pupil of theirs, as well as the skills that I have. Although not a job application, my current manager at Primark approached me to ask if I would like to have a supervisor role at the West Bromwich store. He said that it would require me working Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, mostly all day. Unfortunately, I had to decline the offer, stating that I was currently in my final few months of university and that I would need the time to complete my course. I mentioned that after university I would be away on holiday until the start of July, but if a supervisor role was still available I would take it into consideration.

Ryan Horvath

Hello,

Adam Mason recently made contact with me regarding the LRC Role at the RSA Academy.

I spent a total of four years at the RSA Academy, completing my GCSE's before staying on for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Three years later, I am now coming to the end of my university degree, studying BA (Hons) Animation at the University of Wolverhampton, to which I am expected to receive an Upper Second-Class Honours Degree.

This year and for the previous two years, I have worked for the RSA Academy as an Invigilator for the Summer exams, so I have experience working with current employees and know the building well. I feel that I would be appropriate for the LRC role as I have experience working in an educational setting and have a good level of IT knowledge, as it is a key interest of mine. I feel that I would be able to take an optimistic approach into developing and managing the learning process for students by working with teachers to ensure that students are able to achieve, as well as maintaining the day-to-day operations of the LRC Role.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely, Ryan Horvath
