New 2ww Endoscopy service now available in the community

In line with the 5YF plans to take care closer to home, 2ww endoscopy services are now available for Oxfordshire patients in the community.

The main service is based in Witney, but other services will be up and running across the County soon; we will keep you posted when they are rolled out.

Practices have been sent the community 2ww referral forms with ‘The Wire’ zip file on the 7thMarch. These referrals forms and should be uploaded to your templates file as soon as possible in the usual way.

2WW Suspected Colorectal Cancer v11

The forms should auto populate and be sent to the community based provider, InHealth, and booked via eRS.

The patients will be seen and treated according to the NG12 guidelines for suspected cancer referrals, along a 2ww pathway.

Positive results will mean an onward referral to the OUH service /MDT and the GP will be informed.

Negative results will be returned to the GP for further management of their patient.

OUH referrals can continue to be made where appropriate.
