Power HourMon-Fri (First hour after school)
During the first hour after school, the teen center focuses on homework, SAT/ACT prep, study skills and more. This
gives teens a chance to finish their homework before they head home for the day!
EveEvery Tuesday in the summer time we will alternate between the pool
and the gym. Please bring appropriate attire. 14:00-16:00
AUGUST DATES: 6th Gym | 13th Pool |20th Gym
August 31 st : National Trail Mix Day We will be making some trail mix to celebrate
national trail mix day. There are lots of different ways to make trail mix… What will
you create?

August 2 nd : Snorkeling & Kayaking at Kadena Marina
12:30-18:30 ~ Arrive at teen center by 12:00.
Bag Lunch is provided.$25.00 USD ~ Please bring swim attire, towel, and change of clothes. Please
bring extra yen for snacks.
Friday, August 9 th : Paintball @ Chibana Golf Course
13:30-18:30 ~Arrive at teen center by 13:00.
Bag Lunch is provided.$45.00 USD ~ Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Teen will be
sharing box of paint with another teen.
Friday, August 16 th : American Village & Movie Theater
12:30-19:30 ~ Arrive at teen center by 12:00.
Please bring 1500 YEN for Lunch and $15 USD for the Movie Theater and extra for snacks. Please also bring swim attire as if
weather permits, we may stop by the beach.
Friday, August 23 rd : End of Summer Lock- In Kishaba Youth Center
19:00-07:00 FREEOvernight event with the teen
center. Come watch movies, relay race, and make some friends before
school starts. Dinner and snacks provided. This is open to ALL teen centers and Japanese nationals.
August 19 th : Community Bank Guest Speaker:
A representative from community bank will be coming in to share tips on how to save your money from
your summer jobs and be financially smart this year.
August 10 th : National S’mores Day We will be whipping up some very tasty s’mores to celebrate national
s’mores day. We will also be learning the history of s’mores and watching
movies.
