computers that used the Windows 7 Ultimate version to the router via physical wiring.

1345p.m The process of setting up the connection was still in progress.1355p.m 20 minutes had passed. The 4 main computers were still not connected. Both

groups decided to readjusting the wires from the computers to the router as feared that the wires were not properly installed since the wiring was a bit mess.

1405p.m None of the computers managed to connect to the access point. Almost half an hour had gone, but both group were still struggling in setting up the connections.

1415p.m Finally, 3 of the 4 main computers were successfully connected to the access point. The other computer was unable to connect to the access point because it was using the Windows 7 Starter version.

1425p.m Timothy Lampung, the admin created the home group for both groups which had been named as “other network” and obtained the password. Then, all the computers were tried to connect to the home group one by one. As time passes, 7 computers were managed to connect to the home group network wirelessly.

1435p.m There were 11 computers who were able to connect to home group network. We, who were supervised by Mr Syed Nasir figured out that some students was interrupting the connection and some students used Windows 8- these were the reasons why only a few were able connected to the home group network wirelessly.

1445p.m 11 computers were connected. These computers able to connect at the same time and can accessed files and other documents on other computers within the network range.

1455p.m Both groups discussed why were the remaining computers weren’t able to connect to the home group network wirelessly. There were total of 33 computers that was supposed to be able to connect to the home group network wirelessly. 10 computers was using Windows 8; 1 damaged; 11 was successfully connected while the remaining were unable to connect for some particular reasons such as that the computers must be running Windows 7 to participate in a home group. Home Group is available in all editions of Windows 7. In Windows 7 Starter and Windows 7 Home Basic, you can join a home group, but you can’t create one. Home group is only available on home networks.
