This weekend they are putting up a Christmas tree in Glynn Walk behind the school and every child in our school has contributed to the decorations that have been put on tree. The Carrickfergus Community Forum have involved our school in a lovely community project. This weekend they are putting up a Christmas tree in Glynn Walk behind the school and every child in our school has contributed to the decorations that have been put on tree. The forum also kindly gave every child in the school a selection box to thank them for taking part. It was a lovely kind gesture.

I would like to thank the whole Carrickefergus Community Forum and Mr Coulter, who is the parent of two children in our school, for their wonderful kindness and support of our school. It is very greatly appreciated.

SCHOOL CHRISTMAS DINNER

The school Christmas Dinner will be held on the 11th December 2020. It always proves very popular. It will be served in the classrooms this year due to COVID-19. Parents are now able to book this on the school app. Please ensure that you make full payment where appropriate.

SCHOOL COUNCIL

Thank you to Mrs Edwards for all her work with the School Council. A School Council Committee has now been elected and the intended meetings are due to take place on the following dates:

Please ensure your child crosses with Brian even if they are with an adult.

PAYMENTS FOR DINNERS ON THE SCHOOL PAYMENT APP

The new school payment app is proving very effective. Please ensure payments are made at the time of booking so arrears are not built up over a period of time.

· School milk commences.

· Mrs. Gal, the Education Authority violin tutor, will be in school to work with the violinists.

· Mr. Murphy, the Education Authority wind tutor, will be in school for flute and clarinet lessons.

· The Education Authority music tutors will be testing children in P4.

· Ready to Learn from 1.50pm-2.30pm. (Relevant parents have been informed.)
