In International World Hunger and Poverty Summit 2016, we are joined by our Guest of Honour, Karen Tan; Singapore’s Representative in the United Nation will open the conference for us. In this conference, we will come together to raise awareness and do our part to put an end to poverty and world hunger through plenary and breakout session. Some of the topics that will be discussed are poverty around the world, food wastages, what poverty will lead to.
Mikel Vestergaard, one of our speakers, will be talking giving a live demonstration of the award winning LifeStraw water filter which was named one of ten things that will change the way we live by Forbes Magazine.
Attendees will also have the chance to pay a visit to Singapore’s first ever renewable and sustainable water supply system at NEWater and how it has revolutionise the way we get clean drinking water
In the exhibition, we will get to see what we can do to stop world hunger and poverty through the exhibits. The exhibitors will be showcasing what they are currently doing to help with world hunger and poverty.

A passionate humanitarian leading a mandate to make a
measurable impact in reducing childhood malnutrition
and creating lasting solutions to hunger.
In the seven countries where Action Against Hunger-
USA operates, its teams assess and treat paediatric
malnutrition; enable ongoing access of food, water and
hygiene for vulnerable communities, and provide
emergency response to countries in crisis.
He is a current lecturer with Fordham University’s
International Institute of Humanitarian Affairs, a program
which he helped to design.

Registration conditions
Cancellation statement: Cancellations received in writing at the conference office
by 19th February 2016 will be accepted and all fees refunded less an administrative
fee of SGD $120. Cancellations received in writing at the conference office by 19 th
April 2016 will be accepted and 50% of the fees will be refunded less an
administrative fee of SGD $120. Cancellations received in writing at the
conference office by 19th June 2016 will be accepted and 80% of the fees will be
refunded less an administrative fee of SGD $120. Cancellations received 19 th June
2016 cannot be accepted and will not be refunded.
Transfer of registration: Transfer of your registration to another person is
acceptable. The full name and details of the person that will replace you must be
advised in writing to the conference office prior to the conference before 31st May
2016.
Non-attendance: No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the conference.
Notes
To qualify for early bird registration, registration fees must be received by 19 th April
2016. Registration fees are based on date of payment receipt, not the date of
receipt of registration form. For registration applications received on or before 19 th
April 2016 with payment received no later than 19th April 2016. If payment is not
received by 19th April 2016, the later amount will automatically be charged.
Fringe activities conditions

Accommodation conditions
Booking: Credit card details are required to secure an accommodation and the
hotel will charge one nights deposit at 30 days prior to the conference or at check
in. Cancellation of booking will only be charged in accordance with the cancellation
policy below.
Refund/Cancellation:
Cancellation on or after 31st May 2016: The hotel will deduct one nights
deposit from the credit card provided on the form.
Cancellation 15 – 1 days prior to arrival date: All rooms cancelled 15-1 days
prior to arrival will incur 100% cancellation fee. That is, all nights for all
rooms booked will be charged directly by the hotel to the credit card
provided at the full accommodation rate for the duration of the booking.
No shows: No shows will be charged to the credit card provided at the full
accommodation rate for the duration of the booking. Change of booking:
