Insurance claim storm damage restoration experts

The unique new website, howsmyroof.com provides an unlimited monthly sales lead platform for contractors and public adjusters plus educates the property owner on the value of using a licensed public adjuster. This service is offered at "no out of pocket expense" to the property owner and typically results in a much higher settlement amount then if they contact the insurance company on their own. We then connect the property owner to a licensed contractor/public adjuster after an inspection request is submitted. Contractors and public adjusters subscribe for the unlimited monthly lead service.

Howsmyroof.com Purpose

The new and unique contractor sales lead platform, “howsmyroof.com” will serve two primary purposes. The first will be to provide information, guidance and support to property owners when storm damage occurs, plus provide an education of the insurance claim/restoration process. Examples can include hail and/or wind to damage to the roof, siding or other exterior damage issues. In addition we will provide the property owner a locally approved licensed Public Adjusters (P.A.)/contractor. This service will benefit both property owner and contractor.

A Public Adjuster (P.A.) or a more expensive attorney are the only legally approved advocates that can work on the behalf of the property owner with insurance companies to contest offers that are typically far below a reasonable and fair settlement.

The second will be to generate inspection/sales leads to numerous roofing/contracting/P.A. companies across North America that either has on staff, or contracts with a licensed P.A. qualified to inspect a property for hail and/or wind damage. They (Contractor or P.A. Company) will then have the opportunity to file the claim for the home/business owner to pursue the highest possible (and by far more profitable) restoration settlement amount.

Storm Damage Industry Problem:

The vast majority of property owners are not familiar with how to best manage a storm damage situation with insurance companies, let alone understand the role of a P.A. The typical response after any storm damage is to call your insurance company and file a claim. The insurance company will send out a “staff adjuster” that works for the best interest of the insurance company, not in the best interest of the property owner. Insurance companies are in the business to make money, not to give away money for every claim filed.

Too often insurance companies offer a very low or no settlement offer at all and expect that the property owner to settle. Unfortunately the property owner is then stuck paying much more, if not everything for weather damage restoration because they are not knowledgeable public adjuster professionals who are licensed to negotiate with the insurance companies.

To add to the storm restoration problem, there are too many traveling “storm chasers” that have built a bad and untrusting reputation within the industry. A solid established, local and trusted pre-approved contractor by howsmyroof.com is needed to inspire more trust.

Solution:

Build and market a trusted brand “howsmyroof.com” that supports the property owner and “Best in Class” contractors. The website howsmyroof.com will provide both text and video explanations to the benefits and process involved when working with a public adjuster. The website will first and foremost

Page 3: dfon51l7zffjj.cloudfront.net · Web viewHe has over 30 years of Sales, Sales Management and Marketing experience with the past 5 years as an independent marketing representative.

provide an explanation of the best way to proceed after storm damage has occurred. For example, call the contractor or public adjuster first, not the insurance company! We will clearly and succinctly explain in a short video what to expect from your contractor or adjuster and how they will get the issues resolved as quickly as possible with the insurance company. The site will properly set the expectations so when the contractor or public adjuster does arrive to inspect the damage, the deal is already 80% closed.

Currently there is no site like this. There are plenty of roofing/storm damage sites, P.A. sites but all in competition and listed separately. This site would offer a central source/platform for anyone in need of an informational resource and connect them with the right firm to help.

The site will also automatically forward the inquiry/sales lead directly to the assigned contracting companies covering an assigned region. We will only sign companies that are “Best in Class” public adjusters and/or contractors capable of performing the inspection and signing an agreement with the property owner to begin the process with the insurance company.

Potential:

There are thousands of roofing/siding/gutters/window and door companies across the USA now paying anywhere from $125-$1,500 or more per lead depending on residential or commercial opportunities. Whenever a hail or wind storm hits a specific region, the opportunity to provide quality “warm/hot” leads based on a property owner filling out an inspection request can be very lucrative vs the current telemarketing or door knocker efforts. The revenue to support the site would come from a monthly subscription fee for lead generation. There would be different pricing levels for residential leads vs commercial leads that would be assigned to specific subscribers over an assigned area (50 mile radius for example) to avoid contractor overlap. Additional subscription fees could be applied for a wider radius or for multiple locations (regional and national roofing companies for example).

The sales plan is to sign on as many “Best in Class” contractors and/or licensed P.A.’s across the country, all paying a monthly subscription fee. There would be no limit to the number of leads generated, but a minimum number of residential and commercial leads per month (16 residential 5 commercial) would be provided or a discount on the next month payment will be given.

Additional advertising revenue can be earned from various product manufacturers of shingles, siding, ect… The key will be to premarket prior to typical seasonal storm damage via various traditional and social media outlets and increase regional marketing during the weeks a storm hit.

Contractor subscriber forecast after howsmyroof.com has had 5 months on line; 10 residential and 3 commercial contractor subscribers per State x 5 States = $175K per mo. subscription income with $4K per mo. marketing budget in per target State. Starting States to promote the marketing campaign include Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Missouri and Nebraska.

After a full year of online business, marketing and additional expenses per State, X 10 States, year-end forecast to be ~ $70,000.00 per mo. expenses with $350,000.00 + per month in revenue. Monthly anticipated gross income at the end of three full months marketing $35,000.00 per mo.

R.O.I. would be a percentage of the net profit monthly. Allowing for taxes, expanding marketing territory and additional potential expenses the monthly return on investment should begin within 4-5 months.

After one full year I conservatively estimate howsmyroof.com will have 100 residential contractors and 30 commercial contractor subscribers across the top 10 States for hail and wind damage totaling $350,000.00 per month revenue or $4,200,000.00 annually.

Forecasted R.O.I. is approximate and may vary based on number of contractors signed and additional un-forecasted monthly expenses.

About David C. Manning,

Founder and CEO of howsmyroof.com

David is a graduate of York University’s Schulich School of Business with a degree in Business Administration. He has over 30 years of Sales, Sales Management and Marketing experience with the past 5 years as an independent marketing representative. His primary focus has been in sales and marketing of electronic components, with over 3 years consulting to various fortune 500 companies such as 3M, Texas Instruments and Mettler Toledo, to help them more strategically enhance the targeting of their direct marketing campaigns to the engineering and manufacturing community. During the spring and summer of 2016 he worked with a roofing contractor performing inspections for wind and hail damage. His role was to represent the property owner as a Public Adjuster to secure the highest possible insurance claim settlement for full restoration after storm damage.

During this experience he learned how consistently and egregiously insurance companies take advantage of property owners by denying or severely under compensating a rightful claim. Most property owners are not interested in climbing a roof, let alone knowing what to look for. This is what motivated David to create howsmyroof.com. The site will utilize David’s years of business, sales and marketing experience to better equip and educate the property owner of their insurance related entitlements, as well as connect them with an advocate/contractor that will look after their best interest against the insurance company.

David has won numerous first place sales and marketing awards during his years at DM2 Decision Maker, a division of Reed Business Information, while providing marketing guidance to major manufacturers and distributors. His success in explaining the Public Adjuster role to property owners was also significant where he signed over 80% of the clients he met with. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced on how to target specific market segments and understands the challenges of the contractor to consistently get quality leads. This combination will help the property owners and provide sales opportunity that offers an extremely high close rate for the local contractor.
