Financial Make sure that you’ve accepted your financial aid and you are comfortable with the numbers

Meet your financial aid counseloro Make sure your balance is paid off or you’ve set up a payment plano If you have any questions about your financial aid make an apt with your financial aid counselor

Housing/transportation

Make sure you have a good housing plan (home, campus, somewhere else) Set up a transportation plan (bus, car, walk, carpool)

o Parking passes may be available through your school if you need it FOOD (DON’T STARVE) ( Buy a dining plan or pack lunch)

Academics

Make sure your schedule workso Meet with an academic advisor to make sure that you are taking the right classes

Gather school supplies (computer, notebook, utensils) Books (rent, buy, buy used, borrow or check out from libraries) Register’s office (make sure to sign all paper-work that you need [pending]) Make sure you have insurance (family, school’s insurance, or other)

Social

Look for a map (of school, restaurants, coffee places, parks etc.) Figure out what kind of student services your school offers (academic, tutoring, writing, scholarships,

clubs, organizations, internships, work study, career office, public safety department) Organization- figure out what works best for you (planner) (phone)

o Set-up a schedule (TIME MANAGEMENT) Ask where the “hot spots” at school are

o Where do students gather? Study? Make friends! Get to know your surroundings
